What did you do to your mini today?
Thanks. I continue to be amazed at how simple small changes like this can make such a big difference in the appearance.
Over the weekend I installed my new DDM CAI, along with a new set of NGK plugs. Incrediable sound, better throttle response very pleased with the mod. The quality of the intake from DDM is fantastic and well worth the money. Now we will see how it effects my MPG, hard to keep my foot out of it!
Got a new wheel in the mail today... Just one, to make sure everything is going to fit.
Never seen them on anything before, but they fit the direction of my resurrection perfectly! Old-school looks, small, wide, and light.

Took my car to Euro Motors in Raleigh, NC yesterday for a much overdue carbon cleaning. (114K miles) The first one ever as a matter of fact! Outstanding facility and staff. They do excellent work at a very reasonable price and keep the customer involved and informed throughout the process. Chris, the technician showed me the appearance of the valves before and after the job , and took pictures for me. I was in and out in <2 hours. I would, and will recommend these guys to anyone in the area, without reservation. I will be taking my Mini back for any work that I can't handle or don't want to do myself. This may sound like an advertisement, but it's not. This was my first visit to their facility and they made my Mini, and me, very happy.

I installed my catless DP from WMW along with the uprated blow off valve. Sounds great! The new BOV helped the non-sport mode bogginess. I almost don't need to use sport mode. But, if I want a little louder pop and barble I turn it on.
Plus I really enjoy the heavier steering.

That was my thought exactly. The tech said it was probably because the majority of the miles were highway or longer drives vs short hops that never get the oil/engine up to optimal operating temps. Sounds reasonable to me and I can't argue with the pictures. That picture was the worst one. Number 4 IIRC. The others weren't as bad.

Installed my AEM CAI, Forge vacuum activated piston operated BOV/Diverter, BSH Dual Tap (using it as a block off plug and vacuum source for the BOV), and BSH OCC. The only problem encountered was the Dual Tap interfering with the plenum seating properly. Used my heat gun and modified the front corner slightly. As some have observed, there is a slight loss of low end torque with the AEM, but that will be remedied with a tune after I get all the goodies installed. The forge works like a champ and I am very happy with it. The loss of turbo lag between shifts make up for the lost torque. As for the OCC. . . I'll just have to wait and see how that works out. The installations came out pretty clean and now all I have to do is get the engine compartment spiffed up.

Thanks. It's a work in progress, but getting closer all the time. I think all I need now is a FMIC and WMW Turbo Wrap before I get it tuned. But, before I get that done I have to replace the T-stat. When i got my valves blasted the tech noticed a slight leak, but not something I need to do immediately. Seems I have something of a rare beast. Original T-stat. Hope I'm not inviting a vist from Mr. Murphy for saying that!
What an awesome choice of wheel for that project? WOW!!

Know you just bought one so far, but have you tried fitting it to the car yet? I really like the design....think it'll go perfect with your redesigned MINI!
I cant use my car for the test fit. :(
Ive got brakes on the car that need 17" wheels to clear them, but those brakes are reserved for a guy in FL, and will hopefully be getting mailed out soon.
What I do know though...
The Koenig Feathers on the car now have a 5 9/16 backspace. (String and tape measure)
And the new wheels have a 5 7/16.
The Enkeis will stick out past the flairs about 1/2-3/4 of an inch! Only thing that would be an issue is if the stock brakes dont fit in the drum of the wheel.
