Today was state inspection day, and "Amnesia" the Countryman passed with flying colors. I was going to rotate the tires, but the tread gauge showed front to rear wear to be almost the same. Only slightly more wear (1/32) on the front at 6400 miles.

"worth it" on the Akra exhaust is definitely a personal opinion. In comparison to other exhaust prices - I'd say it's hard to really make a case for the Akra. It was equally difficult to make the case when I lusted for one on my motorcycle. I went through 5 different exhaust... finally got the titanium/cf Akrapovic and only rode the bike one more time :(

As ridiculous as it may be - that exhaust might be the only reason I wished I had an R56 instead of R53...

Rotated my tires and put the JB+ on default setting. No CELs after the bump in power.

It was a little spendy for my taste so I went with the ArK Design and am very happy with my choice.

Worth it?.. Almost $2,000 for (basically) a muffler and some pipe? I don't think so...lol

Yes those Czech's make some pretty welds, but is it worth almost twice as much as a NM Engineering exhaust?

Just finished giving a full cleaning and detailing of the car IN the garage, and if you seen my garage you'd think twice about it (kind of long and narrow) . . . boy I don't care about winter! It's been so cold and it snows all the time I couldn't stand the mud and salt filth anymore. I don't usually clean the car in the garage with that dirty a car but I couldn't take it anymore

Yeah, we haven't decided what to call the MINI either. My wife and I can't agree on it

After ordering 4k in parts just earlier in the day (yesterday) tragic accident occurred last night..my car was possibly totaled. As i was driving in a underground parking structure after Undie Run (a school event where everyone gets in there underwear and runs around the town from midnight to 2 am) my steering basically failed on me, became flippy floppy in wheel control and i couldn't avoid hitting a steel and concrete column, i was so worried about avoiding it that i forgot to brake. My baby still kind of started after the crash, just for a couple brief seconds and there was some hissing coming from it. I fear it is totaled since it was dripping pink/red (tranny) fluid but oddly enough not oil. The slightly funny thing is the headlight trim rings just popped off perfectly, always wanted to black vinyl wrap them lol and the hood scoop popped off nice. Headlights are 100% perfect not even a scratch and no bent wheels or suspension, even the intercooler is unharmed, i could see the engine looked intact and just the hot side tube leading to the intercooler was ripped off the turbo.

Sorry to hear that. From the looks I hope you don't have frame damage. Looks like core support, radiator, hood , bumper etc ... Really close the front crash tube and bumper mount.

Let us know how it goes and hope you are ok.

I had some extra vinyl laying around, so I went ahead and made a Jeremy Clarkson from Top Gear UK sticker

Story behind it is that there is a dent around that particular area, I started hitting with a hammer from the back and remembered about the "What Would Jeremy Clarkson Do" sticker that's for sale around the internet, so yeah, ended up with my homemade sticker

It could use a car wash though..

Ha ha... Thats funny!

Please tell me you are joking about beating your fender with a hammer! After my bad experience trying to weld up the side scuttle vents (1st attempt) I can tell you how thin and weak they are...

Still my current favorite R50 on the site BTW... :D
