I put some double sided tape between the rear license plate and frame, to eliminate an annoying rattle, especially when closing the boot.
Wish I would have done this two years ago!!

Well, I just ordered the Cravenspeed dipstick. I checked the oil today mainly to make sure it was ok from the factory and to see how bad the current dipstick is. I discovered two things.

1) I have no idea how much oil is in the car.
2) The current dipstick is far FAR worse than I could have imagined. Who at Mini signed off on that design?

Not my mini, but my girlfriend gave a mini a new home. Brought back a 2008 Cooper S Cab on Saturday.

Plasti-Dipped the rear bumper to match the nose and cover the "bumper mod" I did a few weeks ago....

Before:

After:

Also, decided the MINI logo badges on front and rear were too much when completely covered with transparent red, so I took a Q-Tip with some acetone and cleaned the red off the raised ribs of the wings and the circle around the black part of the logo. Much better!

gave Emma a good machine polish n glaze for the first time! She was severely neglected. I probably could of gone back with a more aggressive cut, but I wanted to see how she would turn out with a 1500 then a stereo 2 glaze. New JCW grill is in the mail, the seller sent the wrong one so I'm waiting for the replacement!

Nice! Mine will need to be repainted before it will shine like that again. AZ roads are way too prone to tossing rock chips and tumbleweeds at you for a car to stay shiny for long....

Mine was more of a 50/50, then....

AZ roads are often "chip sealed" instead of repaved because it's....survey says <ding!> less costly.... Sadly, they also cheap out on the amount of sealant used to seal the chips, so they end up loose on the road, ready to be kicked up by any passing tire....

Plasti-Dip to the rescue!

Koni yellows (finally), forge intercooler, TSW lower chassis brace, and jcw mufflers all installed today. Gotta say I wish I would have saved the $ to get the yellows installed when the NM Alpha springs went in. GOOD LORD, please install these shocks when lowering with springs... This is how it was supposed to be the whole time!!! Currently running 75 rear/50 front and loving it.

Also installed silver turn signal bulbs. Not as bright but I'll take it for no egg yolks.

its all good. Managed to pop the ball joints and get it out of there. Now its time to put the flywheel and clutch assembly on and reverse of removal. I do hope it starts and gives no issues.

Put in a VIP air2.5 intake on Sat. My 7 y.o. daughter loves it. Gonna see if the wife notices/will let me keep it. I guess technically she is already outvoted 2:1.

Dropped my o6' off at MINI for an oil change and toad them to put on my fumoto valve so I can actually change the oil. I could never get the oil plug out. Apparently the early bird gets the worm: Dropped off at 7:30 and driving a 13' with lots of JCW bits. it's very nice. I DON"T WANT TO GIVE IT BACK!!!

They gave you a loaner for an oil change? What a nice dealer.
