Shrinks? So I apply heat after to shrink it?

LaminX tinted the headlights "Gunsmoke" - doesn't look as dark in reality as it does in the pics

I had a buddy stripe the Clubby today. I'm really pleased with the outcome!

I got new front brembo JCW brakes and rotors under extended maintenance.IN just a few miles they are already stronger than the old brakes. Not sure how they do that. I also got the fuel injection flush. I can't tell any difference there. Mileage appears to be the same, power and throttle response completely unchanged, if anything it is harder to start now. I have waived this one in the past but at 44K miles they twisted my arm this time (probably to subsidize that brake job).

I had a BMW 328i loaner which was nice. I like the auto stop start feature. I was in awe that it's hwy mileage was better than my JCW. But in traffic, even with that auto stop start and fancy eco mode the mileage dropped way down to 29. My JCW gets about 32 on the same route. It is still impressive because my old '94 325iC would have got 23-25 mpg in the same situation so there is definite progress. I love the cruise control on the left side of the wheel too. That idrive system is way too distracting though. Love the dustless brake pads. I hope Mini follows the same recipe. That black dust can't be good for the environment and it sure doesn't stop my pads from squealing like a pig.

Kinda wish I had auto stop start on the JCW.

New Fluids!

Swapped out the old Redline MTL for some new in my R53. I changed it 50k and now at 87k time to refresh. I ran Liquimoly engine flush through the crank case and changed oil to redline 5w 30 and added Liquimoly motor protect. Swapped plug wires for NGK blues. She is running like a champ. Also reset the ECU. Time for a drive!!

^Awesome!

I tool off all the chrome trim, cleaned everything off, and put on the first flash coat of Plastidip. Then my can of Plastidip got knocked over and broke the cap. If you've looked at the cap, it's not replaceable...

I wiped everything off and put them back on. Looks like it wasn't meant to be done today. hahahah

I didn't know that you could paint over Plastidip. Does it peel the same as unpainted Plastidip?
