Had my new custom exhaust fitted today. Same 2.5" single-muffler setup I had before but with a resonator & chambered muffler. Man is it quiet now I have to bring it back to the shop though as it sounds like the resonator is hitting the heatshield

Today, I installed a NM Eng. Oil Catch Can.

Stay tuned. Friday is the day I put on the new black NM Eng. RSe05 wheels and BFG g-Force Comp2 rubber.

Learned what side and seat airbag deployment feels like.

The dealer has the car now and said that the side impact needs to be 55MPH to have the airbag deploy. Seem right?

Does anyone know where to get this data (what speed/G Force triggers the deployment of the airbag)? I've done a few web searchers, but didn't find much - yet.

Bummer about your pre-cat. Right after you got yours back from the shop, too.

Stuff happens. I've been really lucky so far on buying used kit until I got these injectors. Turns out they were pretty cheap even new, so who knows about the quality.... Luckily I'm not out a huge pile of dough--I got them for only $100 from a member of our local club when he upgraded to 550cc units (he has Byteronix tuning software). Sadly, no return/refund on this one. I'm looking at getting some here instead, unless someone has heard bad about Fiveomotorsport.

Bummer!

I hope you're ok. If anything starts to hurt, go see the doc right away, and lawyer up. My neck still clicks and pops and grinds and hurts from a fender-bender 20.5 years ago. Stuff like that never gets better....

Finally got the car back from the dealership that I had purchased it from after getting the timing chain and the tensioner fixed. All under the dealerships dime to. Guess it was around 2k for them to tow it 2+ hrs north of here which is where the closest Mini Dealership is and back and all the work for it. They did pretty much tell me that the 10/12k mile oil change was a crock and to change it earlier as thats prolly what caused the issue. I read a lil bit in the timing chain thread and I guess we will see if the issue comes back after a while or not.

Coudlnt agree more go to the Doc straight away and have everything checked,

I didnt 10 years ago because I felt fine (and young"er") at the time but as time passed.... Accident soreness was just not only soreness and now I'm paying for it Shoulder and neck are much better then the meteo chanel.

Damn YOU Now I hitch AAAARRRGGGG let me no about them if you get info or try them as my setup evolves I might actually need those I was on the look out for JCW but there over a undred less than the best price i've seen for JCW so.....

The exhaust shop Quoted 300$ parts and labor to cut the pre-cat and reweld it at firs I was like and then the guy told me he couldnt do it in place and had to take the header out to do a proper job so he sad it was 5$ for pipe and around 30$ for the header gasket and the rest is labor Ouch!!!! God I wish I had a lift and mechanic friend !!!!

The only good news is I should get around 4whp with only the pipe replacing the precat from what I read.

Got the car back AGAIN.....final price ended being 250$ So with the extra 50$ (insurance deductible) I ended up leaving the car for a windshield change since it broke just before i left for vacation this summer. Yeah I'm hexed I think

So pre-cat deleted Exhaust got a even nicer tone not that loud at all cruising around but at WOT...

I'd dont know if i got a HP gain or not but I like it so far.

Went to give some crap to the guy who fixed some rust on the back of the car (usual suspect) in the spring, and that was starting to show again.
Being that the car ran a whole 100 miles in all summer and was parked in garage all along...

He's gona do it again for free this time (he better)

Also got my first experience whit plasti-dip and My tow hook.

And finally started giving a scrub to my front and tail lights using Meguiars Xtreme light restauration kit It does a nice enough job

Well that was a big day.

Does the horn work? If so, why worry about brakes?

Seriously, the discs themselves were thin up front? Wow. I thought I was bad because I had a ridge around the edge on mine when I finally replaced them back in February. I hope you're replacing the front pads as well as the discs....

Accessport was installed today. Never had a car where I could plug something in and get that much hp/tq difference. My 03 cobra responded well to simple mods too but I didn't even have to get my hands dirty with the accessport.

I just got my r53 back from powerflexing the front end. Whole set is in. I am still feeling it out. My front lower control arm bushings were going bad so I had them done and steering rack and sway bar. Did the motor mounts last month.

So it feels different. On my way home my route has heavy trucks that have rutted the pavement. I noticed today that the car doesnt hunt around under braking in the ruts. Before it felt like torque steer from hell. Now "what ruts?". Did a hot corner to make a light...nice! I LIKE IT.

Whole thing done at the dealer. Nice and straight.

I will see how it goes at autocross next month.

Cheers!

I pretty sure I'm moving in the direction of black calipers. Got any pics of your husbands?
