The HID conversion kit comes with ballasts and is pre-wired for plug-and-play.

Looks great... have you install them yet. Show us the picture on the car when you're done. How about alignment, etc.

Unfortunately, I'm still working in Atlanta. The car is in storage back in Los Angeles. I will be back mid-June, and will definitely be posting pictures.

Drilled rotors look cool and they’ll work fine on the street. They just suck at the track... you’ll eat a set of pads in one track day.

Now to figure out what else I'm gonna dip....

I gotta tell you... that is definitely one of my favorite first generation minis. I love it.

Hooked up my Ian Cull Auto Up Circuit to my garage door opener and my security gate remote. If any of you have the Ian Cull, you should check out the stealth features!
I can open my garage door by holding my lock/unlock switch up momentarily, and I can open the Security gate by holding my lock/unlock switch down. It's so nice not having to mess with the remotes anymore!!
Kind of a pain to get wired and soldered, but well worth it in the end!!

Wow! Thanks for the good words about Bernie! That means a lot coming from someone that owns a cool ride like Oscar!!

I bought Bernie in June of last year, and she needed all kinds of love. One of the first things I had to do was replace her wheels. I went back and forth over colors to get. I decided it would be black, anthracite, or silver. She had silver Enkei 18", and with the rough roads in Colorado, I decided to go down to 17". Stayed with Enkei, and I really liked the silver look, and stayed silver. I did do some photoshopping, to see what everything would look like. I've since moved to Las Vegas, and I'm thinking of going back to 18", and maybe black! I like the silver cause there is still some chrome on the car. I haven't gotten into the black out stage yet. They aren't the coolest rims, and not as cool as the ones she had originally, but they look good. Maybe I'll have to plastidip one to see how they look black!

Here's a couple of pics with her original setup:

That blue is what made me by a mini in the first place. I remember seeing a blue mini with a white roof and white wheels. It just looked cool. 4 mini’s later and I have Oscar.

But, your mini in that blue with the black and the way you did the stripes is absolutely an eye catcher, I really like that... makes me want to buy another generation I (plus I miss the supercharger sound)

I know what you mean with 18’s. I went back and forth and was running 18’s on the street and 17’s on the track. It was okay when I was using NM engr’ing springs but when I switched over to coilovers, the 18’s had to go.

I’m running 17’s now and it’s going to have to stay that way unless I move to a place with better roads. (ironic part is when I moved down from OH, I thought NC had golden roads.... now I just ***** about them....lol)

Anyway, great job....!!!

Very nice. If I ever get another mini, I'm gonna have those at the top of my list!

Do you have factory HID and you just want to replace them due to the color?

Not today, but in the past month: ST coilovers, Vorshlag adjustable camber plates, OCC, 16mm spacers.

In the next week or so: Window tint

I also received my front splash guards in the mail yesterday. Due to the 16 mm spacers, they're more for protection than aesthetics.

Still waiting on my Madness Motorworks lower stress brace. After that the mod bug is going to have to go on without me while I replenish funds. I have done quite a bit of modding in the beginning of my third year of ownership. 15% pulley, Megan Racing Catback, DDM CAI, new passenger side drive axle and some other new parts (supercharger intake tube which I broke, new IC boots, replaced some missing hardware that I have lost along the way).

I think new ball joints and tie rod ends are in the near future anyway from a maintenance standpoint. The front end seems to like to drift a bit even though the control arm bushings are powerflex (and fairly new) and the alignment checks out okay. The bushings in the tie rod ends look a little flat and may have lost all their grease.

Aside from that I want to get an OCC, a new intercooler, a tune and the bavarian technic tool. So yeah, I only need about a grand or so...

Oh, and some new rims would be nice

Just changed the interior surfaces from boring fluid silver to silver checkered. I cheated a bit as it is only available on S models but who cares

Waiting patiently on my Alta Intake to arrive, and I'm patiently watching the rain move out of the area... Here's hoping I'll have happy weather for the install tonight (no garage).

#1 - I don’t think that’s cheating at all. Just a cool mod!
#2 - It’s kinda freaky seeing a new MINI interior with a right hand drive.

Its difficult for me to learn to shift with my right hand

However I thing that ur cars have there steering on the wrong side :D

Now am thinking to add a mini yours leather satellite gray color line (not the arm rests just the line above the glove box and between the steering). I really like the stitching on it. anyone got it? whats your opinion guys on that?

Shifting with your other hand is surprisingly easy. I had a London Taxi that was right hand drive, there was no learning curve at all!

Rain went away, and UPS delivered! "Woooooooosh!" is really all I have to say about that.
