My Mini respects herself too much to do that

Thanks all! It's a hit for the parades and Charity Toy Runs.

The eyes are vinyl on Styrofoam board. I zip tie them to the wiper arms. The tongue is just paper. I've gone through a few of them as the weather kills them. I used to have an eyebrow out of reusable vinyl but it stopped sticking.

Totally agree - what kind of self-respecting car would go out without her bottom lashes on?

Removed muffler and resonator off the car, welded a custom dual port cat back pipe, I think it looks pretty good! Sounds good too, very loud in the high RPM range, but not too bad just cruising around town.

I replaced spark plugs and one ignition coil, and now the Mini is FIXED!! All for the cost of one good father-in-law's OBDII reader and part of a tank of gas for being my taxi service for the day, chewing my dad's ear, and some free info from one of our local BMW/Mini independent shops.

I will be delivering beverages of choice to all parties involved for getting me fixed for less than the dealer would have charged me to "diagnose" the problem.

Huge Thanks to Mike at Concord Motorsports in Concord, NH.

Took it to my MINI dealer for my annual oil change and service. They even put new windshield wipers on it, all No Charge. Only 4000 miles on the oil, I didn't have to add any oil this year!

Got impatient and plastidipped the headlight rings, grille and a door handle. I didn't mask anything off, just sprayed away. The good news is, the plastidip comes right off if it is dried in any real quantity. The bad news is the fine mist overspray is harder to find and doesn't come up as quick or as easy.

Still not too bad, and like a girl picked up at a bar, I get to try it out with little investment and zero commitment!

Better hope the overspray doesn't hang around as long as some of
those bar picks tend to do. LOL

If your car also starts scratching at its undercarage, you might want to get that looked at.

finished paining the other side wheels black and finished the scuttles but didnt get a chance to put it all back on during the day. Some before and after pics.

I think the wheels look better in black and will look a lot better once I get everything blacked out.

Yesterday, I acquired a MINI. I traded in my nice 2006 Hummer H3 for a nice 2009 Astro Black Metallic MCS (Certified Pre-Owned). It came with the Rooster Red color line, sunroofs, 6 spd., and a warranty. Once it stops raining, I can get some pics. I have a huge wish list for this MINI. We are now a two MINI household.

I parked her around back of my apartment building in this secret car wash area. I washed her, quik detailed her, wax and polished her, and polished all the black plastic. She looked beautiful. Then I went back to my apartment for about 15 minutes and came out to a sap covered car. GRRRRR. She is still pretty though.
