Found this in my trunk/boot, did it come from my JCW?

Opened the trunk/boot of my JCW to get my bag out, and found this little thing rolling around. I'm reasonably sure it didn't come off anything I was carrying in the trunk so was wondering if anyone recognized it as something that came off my JCW.

As you can see, it's hollow at one end and looks like it is threaded inside.

It looks like the piece that shows if your door is locked or unlocked.

It does a little, except that it is a little narrower and silver rather than black.

Looks like the back of an old Dr. Grip pen.
