Well she arrived last night ... I've already put on the CF gas cap, tinted windows and put the wheels on ... I have a whole list of stuff getting done you can keep up with on the other thread ...

Here are some pics with her big brother.

I really like your new JCW, but I'm in love with that fence :-)

Enjoy.

Very, very nice. Color looks great. (clean!) That carbon fiber dash look awesome as well. Would like to have that for my MINI as well. Good luck and enjoy!

How do you downgrade from a Lamborghini to a MINI??

EDIT: I had a friend recently downgrade from a Mercedes Benz SLK 320 to a VW GTI. That I get. DarioTexas maybe you can tell us about this??

I honestly was wondering the same thing. Don't get me wrong - I love my MINI but a Lamborghini it ain't.

I suppose that the Lambo can't really be enjoyed here in the USA to its fullest unless you're on a track. I can only imagine the operating costs are extremely high and are exponentially so when you track it.

I look forward to watching the transformation of this MINI however. Keep the posts coming!

I once had a Corvette

I liked my Corvette but I really like my 2009 JCW. My Vette was a 1998 that I drove for ten years. It was a great & fun car but old age just caught up to it and got way to expensive to upkeep. After spending $1,600 to get the drivers side window to go up & down, $225.00 for the oil sending unit, And the estimate of $3,500 or more to replace the two actuators and evaporator it was time to trade it in while the A/C was still working.

I thought I would really miss the Corvette but after driving my 2009 JCW I don't even think of getting another Corvette. The more I drive my Mini the more I like it. It is FAST, FUN, HANDLES great and is comfortable. I also average 26 to 34 miles per gallon depending on how I drive it. The folks in my Porshe/Audi club now talk to me and just about everyone is interested in my Mini Cooper JCW.

I can just imagine what the insurance was on a Lambo, When I got my Mini my car insurance was more then cut in half. My Mini is as fast or actually faster up to 148mph then my Corvette was. The Vette topped out at 180mph but took a while to reach it. I did enjoy the Vette but I'm not really looking back.

Sorry guys been busy ... Thanks everyone for the comments I'm new this forum and hopefully will be a longtime contributor ...

I've had a few more items vinyl wrapped in black and am exploring some suspension mods ... Have the DoS cold air intake on its way as well as a deposit on the DoS intercooler.

As for my downgrade I just recently had a beautiful baby girl who is 5 months old and through this entire process along with work the LP has been sitting in the garage collecting dust for 8+ months ... I'm not big into $400K garage bling so she is having a photoshoot and going on the market. Secondly I'm extremely impatient so instead of ording a 6-speed I just took the E-Gear off the showroom floor ... As flawless and effortless the E-Gear transmission is I find myself extremely bored with it on drives.

I will have pics with the Mini and all the new upgrades next to the LP in a few days.

Wheels are TENZO racing 18"s with Bridgestone RE050A tires ... They seemed to weigh the same as my JCW stock wheels but that analysis is from holding one of each wheel up in the air.

Cheers,
Dario

Looks like you have the Optional sport steering wheel ?
Is it the same diameter and thickness as the standard steering wheel ?
Did the dealer install it, or you did it after delivery ?

Thanks.... Car looks killer !
