Slotted JCW rotors

Do they fit with the JCW (Brembo) brakes? What diameter are they? Stock JCW Brembo Rotors are 12.4".

the R56S front rotor is 294mm X 22MM and the caliper is single piston and the rears are 259mm X 10mm, we make track pads for them.
The New JCW fronts are 316mm X 22mm with dual piston calipers and the rears are 280mm X 10mm with single piston calipers. We are working on pads for the R56 JCW brakes.

There is a set of OEM JCW cross drilled rotors that fit the stock R56 brake setup. Then there is the all NEW JCW dual piston setup that is bigger.

If you are looking for a better rotor for your R56 setup we will have the new TSW slotted rotor for sale by the end of the year. I also have the full line of Carbotech pads for ALL the MINI brake setups.

That looks incorrect.. they're referring to the Cooper S JCW - if you recall the 09 MINI JCW is it's unique animal but someone correct me.

That is the stage 2 kit - there's a part number for the full kit upgrade on the normal Cooper S. It's the same kit as the JCW factory car bar the front discs - which is an upgrade item on the factory JCW car (if you don't believe me cross reference all the part numbers off the JCW factory Cooper S brakes with the Cooper S stage 2 JCW brake upgrade - they are identical bar the front disc).

On realoem it refers to the Stage 2 JCW car as the Cooper S JCW - same thing.

Just get the parts department to confirm disc sizing - it's the correct one.

The realoem page was recently updated, and I've cross referenced it with BMW parts on a couple of parts and all seems correct.

Do remember that the realoem pictures/drawings aren't always accurate - if you don't believe me do a search on the JCW carbon fibre rear diffuser for the JCW bodykit - it looks nothing like the actual thing - not even close. Similarly for the JCW factory exhaust system - it just has a generic picture/drawing for all Cooper S and JCW cars.

One of our salesguys ordered a JCW Stage 2 - the VDC put on the JCW slotted rotors - unfortunately when I measured the circumfrence of the rotors they are notably smaller by about 10 MM .

The sales probably ordered part number : 34116777826

Which is the 294mm x 22mm crossdrilled disc from the stage 1 brake kit.

As you can see completely different part numbers and different diameter discs.

Why don't you trust realoem.com? I've told you that i've cross referenced it with the parts guys at BMW NZ and it's the correct part number and sizing.

This was done by the VDC - the MA made the call to the VDC before they prepped his car. Not sure how the mixup happened. VDC is attempting to locate the rotors and send them to us.

Whenever I order anything I always do a check on realoem first. It's a good starting place - although not always correct (bumper clips on the mini for a start - there's two or three incorrect ones on there, but apparantly the same error on the dealer system too). The dealer system is more up to date and gives a bit more information and supercession numbers.

Good luck and let us all know how he gets on - the drilled and slotted discs should look quite good behind those Brembos - wish I had them on my car (might just have to order a retrofit kit I think )

I can confirm that there are slotted/drilled rotors for the new JCW because I saw them on a new car at Mini of Sterling last week. Showed on the sticker as about a $340 option, I think.

I've been thinking about that one. Wish it had the cold weather package. It did have the upgrade stereo. Don't think it had xenons, either, unfortunately.

I thought maybe this link might help out some folks.
http://www.genuinemini.co.uk/acatalo...ni_Brakes.html

The rotors are about half way down the page. Don't see any back rotors though!

I'm waiting for a quality slotted rotor. I do not want cross drilled.
