Help with US VIN number

I would like to retrofit the wheel arch lights on a European F56. The thing is that the dealer could not find any retrofit information, so they asked if I could get a hold of a car that has that option from the factory.
So if anybody has a car with the arch lights (preferably an LCI with led lights, mine was built in sep 2019) and can share the VIN number with me I would be really greateful. I understand if you don't want to share it here, in that case please send it to me in a private message.

You would just need to have them order the black trim pieces and lights for a US Spec model car....A VIN is not needed from anyone here.

Use BMW's web site. Scroll almost to the bottom where you start to see MINI's....Put in the make / model / month and year of the build. So - F56 Coupe, S-model, and Sept / 2019 build date...The prices are NOT accurate but part numbers are right there ! This site only shows part numbers for US.Spec BMW and MINI. If they have trouble ordering US Spec parts in Sweden, with the part numbers go to: www.ecstuning.com and plug in those numbers there....they can ship them out to you.

www.realoem.com

https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/par...-Mini-Cooper_S = Sept / 2019 Build F56 S.

Click onto above.
Find " Vehicle Trim"
Look for these wheel arches/ they come with new clips.

Then go to "Lighting" for the marker lights. They come with new bulbs and bulb socket.

I have already ordered the wheel arches, but the dealers (I have contacted two) couldn't find how to connect the lights, hence they wanted a VIN number to be able to search for the wiring of a car that already have them mounted.

I think it's funny that someone would want to add the lights. On my car, I replaced the flares with the Euro JCW versions. They have the extra little lip but do not have the marker lights. I never liked the look of the lights, and in Florida, we do not have vehicle inspections, so there are no issues.

When I replaced mine, I disconnected the wiring connectors and tucked them in behind the new flares. I wonder if the wiring for the side markers is already present for non-US spec cars. If not, the lights will not work.

You need to create your own harness, sleeve the wires with protection loom and figure out for your self what hot wire to tap into. Then order the pig tail wire repair kits from MINI, or purchase the bushing wires and connector separately for the plug. You will need 8 bushing wires and then 4 ends which go into the light socket for the bulb. ( Can they not find them ? I was able to for 7 yrs no problem when I had access to the diagrams....)

They need to go to " Single Components for Wiring Harness Repair.." its under Vehicle Electrical System.. I THINK this is the kit . 61132360041

https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=61_4706

Only way to tell is to see if this connector snaps into the back of the bulb socket.....

I have a pointed test light like a screw drivers. it has a bulb inside the handle and a ground wire and alligator clip out the top. With marker lights attach the alligator clip to a grounding surface, the probe or poke the wires in the harnesses until the light in the handle illuminates. That is the pos wire.

Thank you for your input.I was hoping for a VIN number so that I could give it to the dealer and I therefore didn't give all the facts.
I already have the
  • wheel arches with the lights
  • connectors for the lights in the wheel arch (the dealer couldn't find any complete wiring harness)
So I understand that I have to connect the ground, but I want my arch lights to light up with the dipped headlights and not the positioning light.

The dealer cant find complete harness because ITS part of the complete body harness.
Read what I posted...YOU would need to get the "repair kit". Then fabricate 4 of your own harness sections.
It would have to be done in such as way as if you are a body shop looking to fix a MINI F56 which had an entire corner of the car ripped apart in an auto crash.....

What I posted above is for reference only. I think THAT repair kit is prob for fog light as if front end was smashed up...But it should HELP your MINI parts advisor there with what to do...

This SHOULD be the kits you need them to order....you will need 4. part no. 61132359999
They can also supply you with the bushing wires....BMW sends them to MINI in bundles.
You will need 8.

No vin from USA needed now.

They will have to reset parameters for the search in the BMW parts "film" to add U.S.parts data....

The default for their parts system will only show European parts and not recognize a U.S vin number until they custom set their search options.......
