2016's have started arriving!

 

Don't believe I have to wait another week. Was suppose to pick up Mrs. Peel today, but the dealer just realized I have a bunch of Union Jack things going on the car ( roof etc.)
so now he has to order them and put them on the car. Bummer. Disappointed.

2016 F55 Justa was delivered this past Saturday, about two months after ordering. However, it arrived with a lot of major scratches and scuffs that occurred during the transportation process.

Here are pictures after paint correction and opti coat application.

 

I'm picking mine up today (finally).

Dealer called to let me know that the carbon fiber tips I wanted for the JCW Tuning Kit were "discontinued". Seems suspect to me... anyone have any insight on this?

 

Ten weeks after ordering, my MINI is finally in production. Purportedly the long delay was due to shortage of DDC parts but I suspect that my dealer didn't have an allocation. In any case, it's finally underway.

Can't stand when dealers make stuff up like that.... Why not just be truthful up front?? Got my 2016 with DDC last week...

Well the day finally came. Picked up my 4th MINI today at MINI of Orlando. She is beautiful. Some things, I couldn't get a full Union Jack on the roof, because all 2016 4 door MINI's come with sunroof. SO only have it on the sunroof. But I was compensated ck by the dealer for that. Also, for some reason the back up camera was not put on the car. But, I was compensated for that too. I still love the car and it drives like a dream. After having a Countryman for 3 years I am back to a mini MINI.. LOL

We ordered our MINI Hatchback 4 Door on August 21. I called this morning and was given a production-by date of September 3.

 

Mine is scheduled to complete production on September 1.

Congrats! The waiting is the hardest part! Once you get it though - OMG

 

Just finalized my order for my new Mini,
2016 - Cooper S
Auto w/ paddle shifters
JCW interior
BRG w/ black roof/mirros
black interior (headliner, color line, etc) leatherette seats
Wired package and the upgrade to include the HUD and navigation, etc

I'll likely be adding the JCW tuning kit prior to delivery as well - got the opportunity to see/hear one in person when my dealer first got one and it sold me.

Test drove the 2015 model quite a few times but couldn't pull the trigger until I'd had a chance to test the JCW, which was intoxicating but the cost is a bit too high for my mind.

Now I have to start saying my goodbyes to our 2012 Clubman S - love the car and its been relatively painless ownership but the clutch going out at 29k made me weary about keeping the car long-term. (it was covered under warranty). The cost of the extended warranty didn't seem like smart money and I'd rather use those funds and apply them towards the newer model.

 

I have the JCW interior with the cloth seats in my '15S hatch. I just love the combination of support and comfort of those seats

 

Glad it's fixed, but that damage during transportation has me terrified.

My MINI was indeed completed on September 3rd, but it's been sitting at the port for 6 days now waiting for a boat. I thought it would ship on the 6th, but no dice. Now I'm hoping for the 11th for arrival on the 19th or 21st. :-/

 

I love the carbon double stripe cloth seats that come with the JCW interior package.

Had I known that my car would arrive in such terrible shape I would have told the dealership to detail it instead of telling them not to touch it. It would still not be perfect, but better.

Other brands are able to deliver cars with perfect paint. Not MINI.

The paint correction was not easy or cheap. My car had very hard paint (pepper white) that was very thin. Over 17 hours was spent on the paint correction + opti coat.

 

Just out of interest. For those that have just taken delivery. Did they ship with Wallenius Wilhelmsen? I have added Vin 3's from cars built in July and they are not showing up as shipped on their website..

We took delivery of 2 MINIs in our family in the past couple of months and both arrived on K-Line vessels.

 

The WW vessel, Talisman, is at Southampton today, and soon heads for Baltimore. My 2016 MCSa is, I believe, on the dock, but it looks like she is not going to sail on the Talisman. Eagerly waiting to see which boat Molly3 gets

Yes. That's the one I've used on my last 2 cars. What does it say about your car.
last time I used it the car was booked for 3 days before the ship showed up. It should tell you what your boat is. That's the thing with WW. You can almost watch them load your car!

 

It says, "No Records Found."

Seeing her disappear into the ship could be scary.

 

That means one of 3 possibilities:
1 - You are not sailing with WW but on K-Line Cargo (no tracking available).
2 - Your car did not leave the factory or is on the way to Southampton.
3 - The WW website is messed up!

My car was built on 9-9 and should be at the dock and or booked on a ship but I see nothing on the WW site - same as you. When was your car built? Also when I check other Vin #'s at the time and a month before and put them into the WW website get the "NO Info" message...not sure what to make of this.

I'm sure you have seen this site but I've used this in the past. I'm in Canada so I get the Vin # from my MA and from then on I have to be resourceful we don't have the owners lounge!
