I imagine there is a flood of dealer-stock orders right now, such that the multi-story MINI garages at Southampton are probably full to the rafters. My hope now is that Molly3 will get booked on the Tonsberg, 'the largest roro vessel in the world.' It's in Belgium now, and due in Southampton on Thursday.

It is odd to me that super-capacity, super-organized WW seems to not know how much room is available on a given vessel. At least they release some information that we can see, unlike K-Line.

 

I am confused about your mini. Is it a MCS or is it a JCW? I thought the JCW Exterior was only the Aero Pkg, not the JCW color options and the JCW badging? Please help me out, Thanks.

 

It is a custom Superman-themed design lol.

They wouldn't let me order a factory JCW in Deep Blue Metallic (would only let me do Lapis Luxury Blue which would be too dark for my theme) so I had to come up with an alternative way to get what I wanted .

Clark is a MINI Cooper S with JCW Tuning Kit which includes the JCW Pro exhaust, JCW software tune, badging on the rear of the car as well as the JCW serial number plate on the engine cover. The other Chili red accents were added by my request to complete the Superman theme I was shooting for. Was looking at painting or wrapping the front grill blade and side indicators, but the JCW ones were perfect so we went with that instead.

JCW sport brakes just arrived last week so hopefully I can get those on very soon with some new wheels to complete the look

 

You did a fantastic job with your work on your car. I am thinking of doing the JCW kit myself early next year.

Here comes the Tonsberg! Fingers are crossed for a boarding pass. We already have a booking. However, we know how that went on the 14th.

 

Oldsbear. When did your booking change from "return to shipper" to the new booking. Mine car is still unchanged but a ship will be in Southampton on the 19th.....

 

It changed on 16 September. The Tonsberg is now loading, but my car is far down the list of booked cars

 

The rule is that your car gets priority. Don't worry.

Nope. She is the oldest date "received at port" and the only one with that status. 'Last to be selected for the team.' The Tonsberg is set to depart tomorrow at 03:15, and I guess they will not load any more tonight.

 

So did it ever show "Booked" on this ship or were you guessing you were on the next boat?

 

Yes, she showed as "booked" on the Tonsberg, along with 88 other MINIs.

And now... at Midnight +30 she shows-up as "Loaded on Vessel"!
I'm hoping she stays aboard this time....

Mine has updated to "received at terminal and returned to shipper" The voyage it did not take has been removed. The next ship comes tomorrow but it is not booked on it....just to lonely lines of text.....

Yes Halifax. Just said it was booked in the next boat....Carmen..then it went back to not booked....Normally you get the next boat so I'm kinda upset. The Carmen is on its way should arrive tonight....

I was almost ready to cancel the MINI order and buy a Honda off the lot

 

I only ordered once, couldn't wait and bought the one out of the showroom. I would be a nightmare if I did another order.

 

ordered 2016 F56 JCW In July-no production # assigned until last week of August. Production finished Sept 18th, Mini estimate to NYC is 2-4 more weeks-wtf? 14 weeks!


Their system is lacking BMW's order system of 4-6 weeks delivered
