Keep in mind - your car may not even by in South Hampton. That's what happened to me. I was assuming all MINIs were made at the Oxford plant. Within the past year or so, MINI has started making MINIs in Born, Netherlands. If your car is on a K-Line ship, the only way to tell which ship it is on is by calling 866-ASK-MINI and speaking to a representative or having your Motoring Advisor check for you. Their systems will update within 24 hours of the car being loaded on a vessel. From there, you can use the scheduled at the k-Line website to determine estimated port arrivals.

My car was built on 9-9 and should be at the dock and or booked on a ship but I see nothing on the WW site - same as you. When was your car built? Also when I check other Vin #'s at the time and a month before and put them into the WW website get the "NO Info" message...not sure what to make of this.

I'm sure you have seen this site but I've used this in the past. I'm in Canada so I get the Vin # from my MA and from then on I have to be resourceful we don't have the owners lounge!

I just phoned ASK MINI. Customer Service says my MINI has not yet been assigned a vessel. They are not always well-informed, as they have said for two days that my car is enroute to the port. Likely it does not take two days to travel by rail from Cowley to Southampton

That's interesting. I thought they were only building Coopers in Born.

Some Coopers were being produced in Born and for MY2016, they're moving some Cooper S production there as well.

Hmm... I hope that means that they've messed up on tracking my F55. It was produced on September 3rd and they still say it's waiting at the port for a ship. By my count, six ships have come and gone since it arrived at Southampton.

Guys - We in Canada have none of that service. There are only ways....as stated above.
Most MINI's coming to Canada and the States ship with WW. Type in your Vin # into their tracking website.
https://www.2wglobal.com/webapps?url...uickSearchPage
Type your full Vin into the Cargo ID slot....
From this I know my car (built on the 9th is at the dock and my ship is early and sitting at a different dock. It is picking up the car tomorrow AM....

Also punch you whole vin# or the last 7 letters/numbers into this this Vin decoder to confirm the date of manufacture.

Invisible Molly3

With ASK MINI and my sales guys shut down for the weekend, I am left fantasizing that Molly3 is at sea, aboard the Eurasian Highway. She does not show up on the WW site....

Mine was just bumped off the load and "returned to shipper". Drag. Next ship (which seems smaller and slower) gets to Southampton in 5 days. This ship takes 2 extra days to cross the Atlantic... Oh well...end of the month now till it lands.

Put most of the VIN #'s on the "Returned to Shipper" car. ALL were CANADIAN. Some were on the dock before AMERICAN cars......!
I'm sure it is because Halifax is the first port - and the cars will only be delayed 8 days -but still it seems kinda crappy.....

This is cool. Maybe more information than I want. Not sure if it will make me more or less anxious while I'm waiting...

MINI Confused

Okay, this is strange. The sales manager says my car is waiting for a boat. Customer Service gal at ASK MINI says my car is in Munich.

Cooper S is built only in Oxford-Cowley, UK or Born, Netherlands; right? I really hope someone knows where Molly3 is at the moment

You're ridin' with my F55!

Does anyone else want to fly over and try to stowaway on the Independence II with me for the trip to Baltimore?

Molly3 got kicked off the Independence; probably being rowdy or partying too much

Your VIN isn't showing up at the tracking site?

MINI is definitely getting shrifted on transportation. It just seems odd that cars are sitting at a port for nearly two weeks before getting on a boat.
