Picked up my F56 S 2Dr on Friday - in a word - AWESOME!
Definately worth the wait!
BRG2 w/ black roof/stripes, 6speed, leather and lots of options - trying to not be too aggressive till I get a few hundred or maybe a thousand miles on the motor - any "best practice" for this w/ the new 2.0 turbo motor?

The JCW seats this gen are just a bit too prissy for me this gen. With a toddler, I (hopefully not too regrettably) had to go with the Leatherette option. It cleans up like new and wears like nails.

Is anyone on board the Bishu Highway this evening? My F55 (i know it's not an F56 but close enough right?) has been in Southampton since the either the 3rd or the 4th (Mini reps are giving me conflicting information) and a ship left today bound for my home port of Galveston. I can't figure out if it made it onto this ship yet. The rep I spoke to just as the ship was leaving said no, but I think sometimes their information comes a few days late. Does that sound about right?

Well, two weeks later and still nothing from my SA or the OL site. I called 866-ASK-MINI and they were able to tell me mine will be dropping into production next week though. *fingers crossed* hopefully it'll get moving soon!
Called 866-ASK-MINI just now... my vehicle is STILL at the VDC in Baltimore, but they apparently don't know why... Their records indicate that it was supposed to ship on the 10th, then the 13th, and now they do not know why it wasn't shipped on the 13th... :-(

I made it on the Eurasian Highway yesterday! I guess since I was at the port on the 4th and that was too soon to be on the Bishu Highway. So 10 days on the docks in Southampton until I got on the Eurasian Highway on 6/ 14 and now my car is heading to Barcelona then home to Galveston. Estimated landfall in Texas is 7/1. I can't wait!

For those of you that are tracking your cars like me here is an update on my progress. My car reached the VDC in Galveston on the Athens Highway on Saturday morning 6/11. As per my MA, it is in shipment today with the car set to hit the dealership in Baton Rouge sometime late tonight or in the morning tomorrow. So as earlier posters have stated, it was 2-3 days in the Galveston VDC before shipping out to the dealership. The process at the dealership is minimal (remove shipping blocks, final inspection and detail) so I will be able to pick up my car on Friday morning (although I am not able to get there until Friday evening).
Hope this give you guys that are anxiously waiting as I am a better timeline!

Mine is on that same boat and I'm taking delivery in Austin. Hoping the holiday weekend doesn't prolong things. If I can pickup the week of the 4th it'll be almost 10 weeks since ordering.

So I spoke to ASK-MINI and my Motoring Advisor on the phone today... Whatever it is that they do to the vehicles at the Vehicle Delivery Center is being done to my Nigel today... so hopefully take delivery next week sometime...

Maybe they will be friends! I ordered a manual Blazing Red f56 with white roof/mirrors. Red color line with mini yours off-white, Harmon kardon, media package, JCW interior package. My first Mini! Can't wait.

Wow 4 days in the VDC and 2 of those were a weekend. Mine is supposed to arrive in G-Town on 6/1 (friday) and they're probably shut down on the 4th but I wonder if I could get it on the 5th or 6th. It'll probably be ready that post holiday week at some point!

My MINI has been at the VDC in Baltimore since June 7th and it is STILL there :-( But your pictures will get me through another weekend of MINIless waiting... Nice looking MINI Noladude!
Placed my order for a 3 door JCW on the 11th May 2016 (I’m in the United Kingdom) Received this reply 2 days later from my dealer, Due to the list of options it has been pushed back a few weeks into July.
Still no news on production or delivery date.

Did they say what options pushed you back?? I ordered my JCW on May 24th. I just received my VIN but it has yet to go into production yet... I'm in the USA.
