F55/F56 Anyone Order a 2016 F56? (Order Tracking Thread)
Hmm...reviewing the specials on the MINI website I only see 0.9% for 72 months on 2015 models, not 2016.
For the 4-door Hardtop looks like the only thing I can get is the $500 owner loyalty credit...
Wonder what their "normal" loan rates are at the moment. I can get 2.15% from my credit union. In the past MINI has either been able to beat that (got my 2011 with 0.9% for 60 months) or match it (once through MINI financing, once through Bank of America).
Guess we'll see.

I contacted my MA and he said 1% for 72 months...not gonna complain about that.
This is so great - all I got with my new 2016 Clubman was a keychain....
Taking delivery today.
Will be interesting to see what "goodies" I get. We got a couple of bulldogs when we took delivery on my wife's MCS 4+ years ago. My MA took these shots yesterday when the car hit the dealership...

Yep, I have a rare white painted top on my R58 .
Some people ask the dealership to leave the prep stuff in. Like the cardboards and plastic . I have seen it all

Love the CR car. You can only get CR on a JCW now right? Otherwise it's some other shade of red. The whole Mini color thing is sorta cool. For instance I don't think they make my color anymore, Thunder Grey replaced it. And some were just on certain models, like Oxygen Blue was only on Justas. And some make a comeback, like that really dark green one that was a different name on the special edition JCW several years ago. And dude you need Union Jack side scuttles on that car. The red/white/blue not grey.

F56S 2 door, BRGII, Black top, lots-o-extras...
Been a bit busy w/ work and other things life throws one's way, but just saw the update yesterday that my new toy finished production and is in the nebulous "awaiting transport" stage.
I'd called on Friday last week and they said it was due to be finished that day. I'll call on Monday to see if there's an update as I've seen so frequently in this thread that the owners lounge site is a few days behind reality...
For others stats reviewing - I ordered mine on the 1 March, slated for a "week 12" production date, meaning the week of 21 March. I guess it just took that long for a build slot.... ymmv.
F56 S, 2 door, 6-spd, BRGII, Black roof/caps, black bonnet stripes, cross punch leather, cold, performance, sport, nav, hk stereo, MINI Yours steering wheel, HUD, directional driving lights, comfort, folding mirrors, roof rails, etc... prob easier to say it didn't have the JCW package, sunroof, chrome line, or backup/driving aid systems... :-D
So its hurry up and wait for me...

You can call MINI and they will give you all the details on your car while in the production cycle. Call them, don't rely on the web site - the real time people know more and will share more details.

Short(ish) version - the website is not good... looks dated, has limited info, lots of broken links (such as to the video of producing a MINI), etc.
My dealer didn't know when my date was going to be, but a call into the MINI support line (866.275.6464), option 2, then enter your 7 digit build number and I was able to learn that my actual production was slated to start "Week 12"...
As for my "Estimated Completion Date" - I don't know that I ever saw one... the overall process as I understand it (well, this is how my process has gone and how I expect it to go from my readings here and otherplaces)
1. You order your car, it gets entered, you confirm the order, confirm it again, and it gets entered. You still get a chance to change up until some mystery date when the slot/pick/etc is complete and your car enters production.
2. You try to log in repetitively into ol.miniusa.com, repeatedly rebuffed for being "too fast" - that they need to get the order data processed... this took me about 6-7 days from order. (all joking aside).
3. When you do log in, you'll see a VERY different vehicle on order. My dealer warned me about this... but I didn't expect it to be *this* different... My car was showing a 2008 Clubman S, in hot chocolate brown metallic... :-D (again - really!) Seems MINI recycles their 9999999 "build numbers"... guess it took them 8 years to do that many custom builds... :-D
4. At this point, you'll prob switch to calling in, as the live support folks will know lots more before the ol.miniusa.com site does... just after I saw my "Clubman" appear, I learned that I was a "Week 12" build slot... so I had another 2 weeks or so to go... I'd ordered on 1 April, week 12 is 21-25 April.
5. Still calling, I learn mid week that I now have a VIN - that means the chassis has been either built or assigned... (I'm a touch fuzzy there)
6. Car showed "in production" (according to the live support folks - the system continued to show "Scheduled for Production") up through the end of the week - the automated voice said it would be the 25th... it was about right...
7. That Saturday, out of production and into "Awaiting transport", then assigned to transport (to the dock) for a few days, now it is sitting at the dock...
8. This is where I now am... will I manage to get on a ship that is already there? (don't think so) how long till I get assigned to a ship? I've read it can be 3-15 or more days... all depends on when ships show up, the weather, etc...
9. Once it is on the ship, that begins to solidify a delivery date... because once the ship leaves, it *should* be a more calculable timeline (barring bad weather, dock strikes, etc)...
Till it arrives, do your best to enjoy the progress, understand there will be fits and spurts of info separated with seemingly long gaps between...

Just curious - are you a photographer? And are you waiting on a Clubman?

It's supposed to be black. Thanks, the cottonwood dash was a last minute change.
