'15 F56 TPMS question

So with the 2015 F56 cooper s - do you need to reset or recalibrate the TPMS after a tire rotation (front to rear)? Does this system relearn the location of the wheels automatically? Since it shows the pressure of each tire on the dash I want to make sure the front isn't showing as the rear and vice versa. It's impossible to find a straight answer anywhere and Mini's manual doesn't explain anything either.

I would do a reset, it only takes a moment.

I have the same issue with our 2015 F55. I rotated the tires, now the dash lights are on warning of low pressure. I assume this is because of the rotation as the tires are fine. What is the reset procedure? I saw a vid for the 2012 model, but are the 2015's different?

thanks

If you go to Mini USA owners manual..look under safety.

Vehicle Info -> Vehicle Status -> Tire Pressure Monitor (TPM) -> Preform Reset

The system will reset next time you drive the car, it will show a % of completion if you stay on that TPM screen under Vehicle Status, usually takes 2-5 minutes of driving.

The reset procedure is kinda quirky, but keep with it and it will work eventually. I had to try several times before the reset initiated.
