F55/F56 Ball park time-frame
Yeah, same thing for me. How'd you find out it was delayed?
I checked earlier today for a ship leaving Southampton to Port Hueneme in California, and the only one was the Manon. My car was listed as Booked with 455 other cars. The ship hasn't arrived in Southampton yet, but is on its way, due to arrive and depart tomorrow, arriving in Port Hueneme on 6/10. I'll check tomorrow to see if my car has actually been loaded on the ship. If it isn't on board, the next ship is the Morning Cara, which doesn't leave until 6/2.
Interesting. Well thanks for the input everyone, I guess we'll have to just wait and see. I wonder if USA_RET has been checking as well

Now will it be the Asian Emperor? Honor? or the Tuscana?
DRAT!
Mine has been at the Southampton Port since 5/9 waiting to be loaded and I too am disappointed my JCW didn't make it on the Torino. When I last checked, it looks like there are 2 carriers coming in on Saturday so let's hope we get on one of those!!
Could it be that those of you who have cars waiting at the port all have some kind of JCW feature added to your cars or have a JCW ordered instead of a MCS? That looks like it could be the common denominator. Maybe the parts are back-ordered.
Thanks jtca. It's strange how inconsistent this all 'seems' to us sitting over here. I'm sure there must be a common denominator, but not sure what that is. I don't think anything is added at the port and I don't have any JCW parts etc, so I'm guessing it's just first in first out according to what port you're headed to. Oh well, let's just keep each other updated if your VIN miraculously shows up, then we can all celebrate with you

Agreed, has to be a "first in first out" thing also.
So anyone with a Brunswick GA destination, our next chance at shipment will be on the Asian Emperor or the Honor departing Southampton on the May 23. Hoping mine makes on of those (otherwise its the Toscana on 31 May).
I have to think with the detailed operation the manufacturers and shippers run, they would not let cars sit in port for more that two weeks.
So now we wait
Fingers crossed you guys get on the next boat! For what it's worth, mine was sitting at the port for 10 days and missed one boat but got on the next.
FYI, when your boat hits the open ocean, sites like vesselfinder.com or marinetraffic.com lose gps signal quite frequently due to no satellites nearby.
Makes the wait even more excruciating

I just checked the ship, Manon. Looks like 639 cars were booked, but around 160 were "returned to shipper". Apparently, they fit as many as they can, and the remainder are returned. Some of those cars loaded, weren't even in port until today, 5/21. Mine was in port from 5/14, and made it on the ship, which is scheduled to leave Southhampton this morning around 10 AM.

Well lets hope the one's that got into port today were not loaded ahead of cars that had been sitting waiting for shipment. Definitely would not make sense if that were the case.
Guessing ships leaving Bremerhaven are loaded with BMW's and then to Southampton for the MINI cargo pickup.
This entire MINI order process is a series of hurdles you have to make watching it progress. Dealer orders car and you walk out with a piece of paper, then wait for it to show up in the Lounge as "On order", VIN issued, and scheduled for production, released to shipper, the waiting for the cruise ship to dock and load hoping to see you VIN show up on the manifest, etc.. Crazy, but fun

:c ry:
and finally
The approximately 160 cars that were returned to shipper on the Manon's original booked list were those that had come to the port on 5/21 (today), although there were some with that date that were also loaded on the ship. All cars with an earlier date made it onboard. I can relate to your frustration. This is my third Mini.
Anyone care to venture a guess on which ship their MINI will be loaded on?
Honor? Asian Emperor?
I'm going for broke and saying mine will make the "Honor" leaving one day before the Emperor. (probably just signed my own "death warrant", but what the heck
)

Keep us posted - I'll do the same!
Now I'm bitter and expecting mine to miss both the upcoming ships. I wish I could know more about how the cars are loaded, how they determine the number of MINIs allowed on, and if there is some logic to which cars get chosen.
I found out this morning my JCW was loaded onto the Ivory Arrow earlier this week after seeing on MINI Owners Lounge that status moved to "In Transit". I wasn't expecting a non W&W carrier but I was told that it'll hot Brunswick Port by the end of the month. I'm super happy about this new news!!
