What is does, is you set a timer and at that specific time, the car's fans come on and basically help air out the car, even when the car is off. It does this for 10-15 minutes then switches back off, but the end result is your car doesn't have that stagnant, hot, stuff air when you get in at the end of your day.

It's under SETTINGS --> CLIMATE. There are two timers you can set and they will take effect in the next 24 hours. They reset every time so you have to set them everyday, if you wish.

I usually get out of work around 6:30 so I have mine set for about 6. I've sometimes gotten in my car while it was still running and you can hear the fans going, even with the car off. The fan symbol on the climate controls will flash to let you know it's working.
I kinda got that from reading the manual (and living in Florida) I thought "how cool (no pun intended) is that feature".

In a cause where you work and wish to vent car at a certain time, the feature is beyond "nice". I was hoping I could use it when we shop and set the car to vent every 30 minutes as we are not on any specific schedule. Still for a movie or a lunch/dinner out, setting it to vent an hour or two after being parked in the sun would make good sense.

Thanks for the info SZ

Yeah, there is really nothing we can do about it other than waiting, so now i am just trying to find something else to do while i am waiting to make the waiting process faster haha. Maybe watch all the Jurassic Park/World movies again since the new one is out. haha

Not sure how many MINI and BMW dealerships you have between POE and your MINI dealership, but without a full load your car could be "marking time" until the next boat arrives.

Lets hope that's not the case and yours is on it's way.
OMG, i didn't know that.. oh well. My sales rap told me that he has put in a "rush" order for me. Hope it will get here before the Canada Day Long weekend! Will let you guys know once my dealership calls me.

Another thing I noticed while looking at the Mini Owners' Lounge, while tracking the Mini, there's an estimated delivery date under the Review Your Order category. This appeared after the car was listed as at the Distribution Center. I had never noticed this before.

The sad thing is for us who lives in Canada, we don't have access to MINI Owner's Lounge. We can only "harass" our sales rep/dealership by calling them every week to check on the status! lol

Sorry, I forgot that! Anyway, looks like we are both just waiting. Glad to know I'm not alone.

True that! Will let you know once my dealership has called me. Btw, when's your estimated delivery date?

It says 6/20. My MA predicted either the 18th or 19th last week, but I haven't heard from him lately. I ordered on 4/21. I will let you know, too, when it ever arrives. I'm just a bit anxious because I had hoped to take possession by June 30 to take advantage of the $1000 discount during their Spring sales event.

oh! I think your MINI was on the same vessel as mine, TOSCANA? Good luck!! I am going on vacation around mid July, so i just hope that I will get my MINI before I leave and actually get a chance to play around my MINI.

Mine was on the Manon. I wish there was a way of tracking the truck as it travels to the dealer. The VDC is only about a 6 or 7 hour drive from my dealer, but I have no idea how long it actually takes due to various stops along the way, what day it leaves, etc. I guess my MA would know, but I'm sure he will contact me when it arrives.

Update: Apparently, my Mini arrived at the Dealer around 8PM tonight (Friday), but won't be ready for pickup until Monday since the crew that does the initial detail to get it ready don't work on the weekends. So, I'll just have to wait a couple more days!

Congrats on the car finally arriving to your dealer. Tomorrow should be a great day for you. Enjoy the experience.

Waiting the weekend is tough, but it is already almost Monday, hang in there! Remember to post some pictures after you've had some time to enjoy your new ride! This is the exciting part!

I picked up my Blazing Red MCS yesterday. You can't see it in the photo, but it has the sun roof with the checkered flag. It seems so much bigger to me than my 2012 Mini.

This is a comparison photo of my new blazing red MCS on the left and my 2012 chili red MCS on the right. I got the same checkered graphics, but I wanted all the new features of the 2015. I like the black wheels, but I thought I'd get the alloy aluminum this time.

Congrats, the car looks fantastic! Welcome to club 'Blazing red'

As an observation, I see a lot of second and third time MINI owners on here as well, which is encouraging. I'm a first time MINI owner with my F56 and have been wondering if I'd want a second one after having this for a while. If the initial experience is any indication, I'm sure I will, but I have wondered about long term reliability.

I guess my point with all this is that it seems like you're happy enough with your 2012 to get another one. Has your experience with the 2012 been overwhelmingly positive?

A man asked me the same thing at the dealership yesterday. I never had any problems with my 2008 or my 2012 Mini, and hope that my 2015 MCS will be the same. I plan on keeping this Mini longer, so I purchased the extended Maintenance plan, and might get the mechanical service plan later on. The only issue I had with the 2012 Mini was the rubber seal around the driver's door opening, which had started to flake. It was replaced during a routine service under warranty.

Good to know, thanks! Glad to hear some positive experiences like yours because typically people only post about problems or 'this isn't working right' or 'my oil pan dropped off the car while I was pulling into Target yesterday'
