I have a 2014/2015 Question...?

What is the difference between the 2014 cooper S and the 2015 cooper S?
When did the model change from 14 to 15?

Sorry if this is a stupid question ...

Ok here goes:

- Changed in June 2014
- Engine change: B48 to B46 - same performance figures, slight diff in MPG, now classified as ultra low emission
- Auto wipers and auto headlights now standard
- Some changes in the packages in terms of what's included and pricing
- Sport seats changed slightly: now wider bolsters and the adjustment handles were reshaped to be easier to operate

Those are all the major changes I can remember, however MINI does change small things within a model year too. For example, starting in March production, the Storage Package no longer includes a net in the passenger compartment, no sport seats = no map pockets in back.

Thanks!
So that means the 2016 will be after June? Net in passenger compartment? thats the pockets on the back of the seats? I wonder what if any changes will be made for the 2016?

Yes 2016 models will start production in June - No idea what changes will be made, if any.

So I guess if I have an order number without a vin at this moment Im still a 2015? I wonder if they got the retooling completed yet in the factory as I was reading that production had stopped as of first of march. I guess to prepare for the JCW and to delete the roadster and the coupe....

It's the Oxford plant retooled. The car that will be really delayed is the JCW manual tran that could be August. The F56 you should get a 2015 I think. They're not gonna shut those down for months. And I'd be surprised if there's any difference that matters. They'll mess around with the options, maybe add a color.

Mine took 5 days from start of production to completion. I've been waiting over two weeks on it to leave the port. It still hasn't shipped.

YMMV, especially depending on where you're located.

Check out my timeline in my sig for my F55 I just received.
