F54 sway bar: madness vs NM

http://www.madnessmotorworks.com/madness-mini-cooper-22mm-adjustable-rear-sway-bar/

https://new.minimania.com/part/G3NMS...man-Countryman

As you can see, the madness bar is 22mm and $275. The NM bar is 25mm and $400. Both look well made. Is the extra 3mm thickness worth $125?

The Madness sway bar is not for the F54, so.... that one is not going to work for you.

They say it fits all minis. I will call and update.
"Now available for the 2007+ MINI Cooper S Turbo as well as all MINI Models! "

Edit: Just spoke with George at Madness and he confirmed that is does NOT fit the F54.
Guess the NM is the only show in town for the F54, unless someone else has more options to present.

I did the NM swaybar. Been very happy with it, see install write-up here. Good luck on finding anything else. One option might be to see if the JCW comes with a bigger bar and if so, see if it can be retrofitted. Chances are, this is a possibility, but the cost will be similar. Either way, good luck with the install if you move forward.

Thanks, Just called outmotoring. They were great on the phone. They have the bar, but not the endlinks.

That's a bummer. If you are on their email list, you should get a 5% off discount sent to you sometimes. I also belong to my local Mini club, so we get 5% off also. Brought it down to under $500 for the bar and end links including shipping. BTW, same end links for the F56 I believe.....

Looks like these might fit the F54, although they are currently not in stock.

I installed the NM a month ago, a very impressive change even on the lightest setup. The kit is high quality with good bushings and decent instructions. Gearhead60 has a much better guide then what comes with the Kit.

Did you get yours?

Not yet. Will probably update the brakes first as sway bar + end links with installation is a fairly pricey project, on the order of 900-1000 dollars installed.

I had wondered how much of a difference it made, it is a mod I really want to do.

I changed it to the stiffest setting this week, the car stays very level in hard turns. Now that the rear is tight i can feel the looseness in the front. Highly recommended.

I agree with CPWillys, it was definitely worth it for the type of driving I do.I also just changed it to full stiff and glad I did.

If you push your car around corners a lot, then you want this mod. If you are a boulevard cruiser, then probably not.

Didn’t want to make separate thread on this, but does anyone know anything about the front sway bar on the 2020+ Clubman JCW?

It’s a different part number than all older/other Clubmans. Possibly an upgrade?? The rear bar is the same part number as all the other Clubmans.

If it’s an upgrade, I wonder if a 2020+ JCW front and NM 25mm rear might be a good upgrade?

EDIT: I’m looking at photos of the two bars on eBay and assuming the manufacturer labels are the same size, the bars don’t appear to be any different diameter. Maybe they just changed the shape a bit? The 2020 did get updated for dampers, maybe they needed to change them to accommodate those?
