Thanks to this topic and @maaii ’s example, I also embarked on the adventure of retrofitting tail lights. The method is indeed very simple and in addition it is reversible. Switching the pins in the pillar was the most difficult part, and still it is enough to identify the numbers. We can't go wrong. And the pins can be taken out without forcing with the right technique. The part of the cable puggling as Maaii proposes is the easiest part of the job.
However, I had to forget something with bimmercode because the brake lights do not take the full width and simply the shape of the fog lights of the LCI versions.
Could someone please help me by sending me the exact Bimmercode instructions to correct this? That would be great🙂

The main thing for people that have halogen lights, when doing this retrofit is to first, update the modules with esys. You just need to update the BDC module. After that, you Will have an option on bimmercode to Turn on retrofited LCI tail lights

thank you I have everything done my car is 2018 the rear lights was led, everything else is working now with the new UJ only bake lights inf the new rears are now activated, if there are any code I need to do in bimmercode expert mode please share.

Don’t suppose any of our residential experts have the wiring schematic available for the tail lights? I’m looking at retrofitting LCI UJ tail lights to my 2017 JCW. I’m more than capable of making my own loom or getting a suitable connector in place.
