I cleared the daten folder before I copied the new datens.
Got it working though. Did a actual uninstall, restart, install instead of just reinstalling NCS Expert and that seemed to do the trick. 45 mins later and all my settings are back! Even a few new ones
The only thing I can't figure out how to change is on the tach display, below where the speed readout is, it used to show the odometer AND the trip counter at the same time, but with the new software, all I get is the odometer and a bunch of blank space. Is there a way to revert back to the old layout?

The CAS module as mentioned in the original post of the thread.
Ok. After reviewing the coding forums, I have NOT found a setting that works on any BMW platform to close the windows when the ignition goes off or when the key is removed. However, I did find a reference to someone who had successfully coded and X3/X5 to fold the mirrors when the remote comfort close is activated. It a lock button press-and-hold on the key fob and the sunroof/windows close as the power-fold mirrors retract. However, there are a couple of gotcha's:
1. This worked on a different BMW platform from our R60/R56 models. A number of settings changes that work on the other BMW platforms don't work on the MINI platforms.
2. The success of the change below was only had when the key fob close settings were activated; they are turned off by default in the US. Theta has posted instructions for activating the key fob close for the R60, so THIS part can be done. I have done it and it works well.
3. The only way to test the additional power-fold change is to use an R60 that has it's key fob close settings activated AND has the power-fold mirrors. My R60 does not have the power-folds. So someone else will need to test this out.
Here is the change:
Module: FRM
Setting: ASP_KOMFORT_EINKLAPP
Change: nicht_aktiv to aktiv
BTW - "einklapp" translates to "fold up". This may be a good keyword for searching in the FRM trace files.

Its ok. The folding mirrors option actually relies on a seperate module if I'm not mistaken. I believe I found it under the electrical section of realoem.com.
We've covered this so many times... The mirrors are not able to be controlled via the fob, and no amount of coding will fix this. Another member and myself were working on building a circuit to do an auto-fold on ignition on/off, but I've not checked in on that in a long while.
The mirrors are not directly controlled by the BCM as with other models. This applies to both US and international variants. 2013/2014s are even worse with auto-fob coding, but no change here. Sorry, but it's been discussed at length in this thread.

Theta, this issue happened before i got into NCS. It was working since I got the car and than all of sudden -7 months later- puff, gone. I have been using my cell phone voice command to call instead and today decided to try again by pressing the button but no avail. just decided to tackle on this issue on my way home from work.
Happened to know the specifics as to command line I should look for?

Ah - in that case, I don't think coding is your answer. It could be any number of things, including a button cluster issue, ribbon (data cable) issue, etc. But the fact remains that if nothing was changed, the fault lies outside of the coding realm (as the correct setting is already 'set' - if that makes any sense).

interestingly, all the other buttons are fully functional. I would still like to check the command line to make sure it is set to active. which command line in CAS or KOMBI?

yes, when i read the car for the first time i thought it was unusual as well but, the mods that i wanted to perform had right modules. i read my friends car as well (2013 R60) and his was the same. the modules i have are :
