Took my car in for service and they must of updated firmware because all my mods no longer worked. No big deal.

I loaded the new 51.2 Datens.

I can read modules just fine with dates. I perform mods, save to .MAN, write files.

I get the coding ended message but never hear the clicks, and mods don't work.

Any suggestions?

I've ordered my cable from One Stop. I've read every thread in anticipation of coding my R60 and my wife's R57. One thing I haven't seen and wonder about is:

The garage door buttons. Can this be coded to remain HOT all the time. I've never had a car that had switched power to the garage door buttons.

I'm not sure but I like it the way it is . Reason being is if you have 2 cars with homelink and only a one car garage, then if someone breaks into the car they can't push the buttons to get into your garage.

Having the Homelink is nice. Just a step up from all those out there that use the battery powered buttons that come with their openers. Like I said, this is my first car where the Homelink wasn't always powered and I personally don't like having to start my car before opening or having to close it before I shut it down.

So the question still remains....

+1 on exactly what you said. . I have 2 minis and a motorcycle crammed into my garage and a honda pilot with a homelink that is parked outside. The pilot's homelink is able to function without having to be turned on which scares me sometimes.

Hi guys!

Probably this question has already been answered, but the topic is extensive and I have not found the answer... I've been coding R56/R55 with V45 datens. Do i need to upgrade to code R60?
Also the NCSExpert version that im using is not the latest.

Thanks.

It is all based on what version of daten files you have. It would be better to get the latest files.

You would still use the R56 to code R60.

Thanks.
I know i'll have to use "R56" option. The thing is i have a 100% working setup for R56/R55 with this datens and with update i may have issues.

Thanks again.

Did you use the right profile? If you use the expert profile then it won't stick.

Is there a new profile then? Any reference on how the correct way? I installed the software via the original guide, then updated the datens except for the 1 file people said was messing it up. Also ran the Laden file after updating the datens.

You would use the same profile and the existing profile will not be changed when you update the daten.

Does anyone try (and succeed) to code start&stop memory?

Changed:
MSA_TASTER_MEM_FUNKT
nicht_aktiv

to

MSA_TASTER_MEM_FUNKT
aktiv

But does not work.

I got an error when "reading a trace file". I've followed the directions to the letter but After I select R56 in the chassis list, then CAS, it populates the Chassis, FG, but I get the following error: “FOLLOWING FEATURE IS INVALID FOR FA: #1113" so I can't "process ECU".

Any ideas from the experts?

EDIT: Nevermind. It was a Daten issue. I screwed up where/what I did with them. All is good!!

Will the 51.2 datens in this thread will work for a 2014 R60 S All4?

As far as I can tell, coding an R60 is the same as an R56. Is that correct?

This reply is kind of late but that icon is saying the sunroof needs recalibrated. You need to pull and hold the sunroof switch ONE CLICK, not two, towards you. You hold it for something like 30 seconds until the sunroof opens all the way then closes all the way. That should fix it.

About the datens, i believe so. I've used those datens to code one 2013 R60 with updated firmware and worked fine.

It's same as R56

HI, Is anyone near Pittsburgh that can code my 12 all4s CM? I'm looking to change 2 items.

1. auto unlock when engine shut off
2. tach display to something other than Speed.

I am expecting and willing to spend some money.

Can you do the auto unlock via the BC?

No, mirror folding option is available only from 11/2012 onwards. Other wiring, mirrors and control modules are implemented to cover this feature.

From that date there is no separate module to control mirror folding, now FRM takes care of this via LIN protocol. There other mirrors and other switches in the door's armrest required. Even in 11/2012 model retrofitting electric folding mirrors is much more complicated, as you need to replace:
- mirrors
- FRM to high (if you have low version)
- door's switches to high version
- wiring harness

I gave up this retrofit. Maybe I will consider it in future....

Sure thing Alienlove... I have successfully reprogrammed that feature as well as few others on 2011 S (mine), 2011 justa and 2012 All4.....
