Old but very useful thread, thanks for sharing. I coded everything required through Bimmercode, but did not worked. Guess I would have to build a harness between KOMBI and SPEG. I have a spare tachometer wiring harness that came with the LED tachometer I ordered from ebay. Can someone please help me with harness building?

What's your model year? Is it a euro spec? I wired my 2013 R55 Clubman between SPEG and KOMBI following the instructions, coded with Bimmercode. Now if I unlock with the key the hazard lights are flashing, so I guess the coding is right, but the tachometer won't blink... If I change the tachometer with a LCI one with LED, will it work or the speedo will have to be coded?
Thanks in advance

So, this can be done ........I always thought from reading another post that the light on the speedometer can be
coded to blink......They called it the idiot light because of having no alarm......in the vehicle.....

I wondered if you have the light blink? I coded my R55 and attached the two wires but no blink. I got the normal SPEG in the car and not the High SPEG. So in the normal SPEG it is not possible to place the alarm fuse. I wonder if it have to work without it.

Unfortunately, not. I think I would have to change the tachometer to make it work. But it would require coding, as a used tachometer will be having a different mileage. And the coding part requires skills I don't have.
