'08 R56: wiring diagrams available?

I am looking for the wiring diagrams of '08 R56. I noted Bentley Publishers has not released their manual for the 2nd generation of Mini. Is there any other source of this kind of information: wiring diagrams + repair procedures?

I would also love to have my hands on this wiring diagram, along with 2007.

Anyone?

There is an online wiring diagram system (WDS) on http://www.minitechinfo.com/.

It's not free access though, costing $30 for 24 hours worth of access. The interface is also a little confusing, put it does let you print out any of the diagrams you pull up.

$30 for 24h is not bad... I might give it a try over the weekend.

I assume you have tested the site. How extensive is the Mini documentation? Roughly how many pages for each model-year? Are we talking about the diagrams only, or there are repair procedures as well? Just wanted to know as much as possible before I commit.

I have used the site personally. When I was in the site, I was mainly looking for wiring diagrams to figure out the best way to hook a Valentine1 into power in the headliner. If you've never used their site before, you'll probably spend a good one or two hours of your 24 hour access just trying to find what you're looking for.

As I said, the interface was kinda unhelpful. If you've had prior experience with service manual publications from Helm or Chilton, you'll probably be disappointed by the site. It took me an hour or so to stumble onto the wiring diagrams. The site also really wants to see you using IE or Netscape, so if you're a Mac or Firefox user, you'll need to use a different computer/browser or find a way to change the User Agent in your browser.

The wiring diagrams were online for a wide range of BMW vehicles including current and past MINIs. I can't speak regarding repair procedure availability.

To give you an idea of what you'll find on there, I've attached some info I printed to PDF from the site. You can judge for yourself if it's useful stuff.

If you change the r50 to an r56 in the above URL it seems to give you want you want. I have not had time to do anything other than load the first page with now says R55, R56.

That does seem to be the R56 (going by images of the interior on some of the pages) ...

... but your link still points to R50.

Please note that this is Version 6.0 or the January 2008 release and this will not be updated per the owner of the site.

The July 2008 Version 7.0 had some major updates over this version.

the version that the above links go to are good for all 07 and earlier cars but there are mistakes or changes for the 08, 09, and 10 verisons. Do not rely on these for an 08, 09 or 10 model year.

Did you install the SVG Plugin? Also Internet Explorer is required (e.g. Firefox doesn't work). These are the technical requirements:
Browser:
  • Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher
  • JavaScript and CSS enabled
  • Java enabled
When using SUN Java Enviroment: Version 1.4.1 or higher
  • Scripting of Java Applets enabled
  • Adobe® SVG Plugin 3.0 or higher installed
If you click on the "Techn Requirements" button on the Models page, there is a test link that checks your configuration.

R56 Best Wiring Diagram! (In my opnion)

If your looking for a wiring diagram, r56cooper.com puts out a really good diagram plus it comes with a couple extra (like upgrades you can do etc) I think when I bought it it was like $10. Gotta say, I have used it again and again.

Good luck on those electrical issues!

As also mentioned on this page, this is a scam. The website is dodgy, and the file is corrupt/invalid.
