Wiring a 2013 console led to 2008???
I wanted to upgrade my 2008 r55 (silver) to black HVAC controls. I ordered a center console panel with HVAC controls included to swap in. I've got the swap complete and working after swapping the circuit boards inside the HVAC controls.
Now I have a weird question. The 2013 panel came with a LED light in the console. I'd like to get it working but I definitely don't have the plugs available in my 2008. Is there somewhere I can splice into that would make this work? Photos attached of the new panel and the led.

Yes. I've got the mood lighting. I've only seen the two LEDs on each door pillar behind the front seats. Is there an easier/closer spot to tie in to?

Talked about it here, guess you would have to tap into the led for power above. I have the hole on my R58 JCW but i dont think its prewire.
