Iowa city got stuck with the ice I had 3 inches to chip off on Friday

 

It's downright nasty outside.

I need to scoop again but with the wind still blowing all of the snow around, why bother? (I admit that the wind chill doesn't help the motivation either)

Glad I have nowhere I need to be today.

 

The weather is definitely a bummer! I took some photos of the piles here.

I didn't go outside all day! I am the smart one . Looks like we are in for several more inches in the next couple of days. I have been able to get my baby out once a week but this week doesn't look too hopeful. I have also resigned myself to the fact that I can have a clean car OR I can drive my car. Both are just not feasible. Yesterday was the first day of winter and I already can't wait for spring. Thank goodness for the winter time meets planned!

 

Such is the beauty of having a big, heated garage with a floor drain. Guess what I did last night? Yep, Sfax is now all clean and shiny in anticipation of Santa's arrival--it's mandatory to be looking sharp for the big guy. Oh, I know it'll get dirty again in a hurry, but that just means I'll get to wash it again.

I'm almost out of room along my driveway for stacking more snow.

Just starting to make the roast lamb with parsnips/celeriac/potatoes/and carrots. With Yorkshire puddings

OMG! You won't believe the wonderful gift my son ( the "no MINI stuff in my garage" son) gave me! He gave me my own garage door opener to his garage! He even said I could put something MINI there. Can't wait to get that "MINI Parking Only" sign.

Well the car got a winter time bath and detail this weekend as the temps were such that this was possible for a few hours between rain, ice, and snow
