Walt was at home, he has a big day today of getting his summer wheels put back on and hopefully his driving lights installed. Although its a bit chilly out and I might postpone it to another weekend when its more in the 70s.

 

We tagged a LB/W/MCS, looked like an '03 yesterday at Genesis Hospital in Davenport

Last weekend saw a 2003 PW MINI at the Best Buy in Coralville (tagged)

This weekend saw a 2007 or '08 PW MINI with roof rack and basket on top (I got stuck at a light)
also
saw a CR MC with white roof driving toward Interstate 80 on Dubque street on Saturday at about 5:45 PM or so

 

To the southbound CR/W R50 I passed on Mechanic St. in Decorah on Saturday...thanks for the wave!

 

Spotted a couple MINIs at the SCCAGRR Event this weekend. A silver Mini Cooper S and a black MINI Cooper S. Looked like the black was out on the course for the first time Did well improving times, didnt get a chance to talk to either of the drivers.

Niether Tina(my Car) or Walt were able to make the event unfortunately even though I have a new STB on my car and Rear lower tie bar waiting to go, I don't think Ill be racing much this year..

 

Oooo...HR, you need to post a pic in the EIM mods thread so we can drool.

 

Its not on Walt its on Tina...Walt has no need for a STB really but might get one eventually anyways

Sharp looking JB/B R50 about 11:30 this morning at the corner of IA-9 and Montgomery in Decorah (got a wave AND a headlamp flash ) followed not 10 minutes later by a CR/W R50 southbound on Short St. (and another wave!). Good to see you both!

Spotted a BR Green with Checkered top on Rockyshore last night along with an electric blue with white top.

 

New MINI COOPER S: dark silver, black bonnet stripes and driving lights at wendys around noon. looked really good!!

 

was driving along side a DS/B MINI COOPER S today on 1st ave/mormon trek today, i turned on melrose to go home and he kept going south on mormon trek. Got a WAVE!!

 

There's a new MINI in town!

I saw a shiny silver Cabrio this afternoon (with the top down -- what a beautiful day today for a change) pull into the drive-thru lane at the Culvers along IA-9. I pulled in and motored up beside him while he was placing his order. He smiled when he saw me and motioned me to pull over off to the right. We introduced ourselves and chatted for about 15 minutes, and he showed off his sparkling new MINI that he's had for less than a week (purchased at Motorwerks in Minneapolis). I got his business card; I gave him my EIM card and invited him to check out our group. Yet another happy MINI owner in our backyard.

 

On the way to Clarence last Saturday, southbound on IA-13 just east of Marion, a beautiful CR MCSc with black viper stripes made a left turn in front of me onto westbound Collins Road. Female driver. Too bad another turning vehicle in the outer lane blocked her view of my wave.

You Marion MINIs...keep your eye out.

Well, it's not EASTERN Iowa, but we drove to Ames on Tuesday 1 July and saw a pretty blue Mini as we were going around Des Moines. The driver even waved at us!
