What ever happened to the Webb exhaust setup? Still think about it every now and again...

Haha.. I e-mailed randy about it a while ago. He told me that the final prototype was finished and it that he was going to try to bring it to market soon. Shoot him an e-mail about it.

I think he said that he's waiting for revenue from the Sportbox to pay for the tubing of the first production exhausts.

That's what he told me as well. I figure it will be out in circulation between May and June. Hopefully.

I don't think he'll mind. Plus, if you look at the cost of 3" SS tubing, you'll see why.

Yea prices are starting to get pretty ridiculous. Too bad it's taking so long for that exhaust to finally hit the market though...

Believe me, I am bummed it is taking so long too!

I don't mind at all, as I am pretty straight with everyone. The cost killer is the 5" tubing I have to buy to make the cans for the muffler. I need to get it in a 30' length, so combined with the 30' length of 3", well, you get the idea.

The good news is that the design is finalized and jigged. We finished testing on it, and the design improvements are significant. The design is truly revolutionary. Not only are we continuing to use our original idea of muffler on one side, cut-out on the other to allow for track day loudness and power, but we have incorporated a way to allow for adjustability on the muffled side as well. And of course, we are using 3", something we determined to make the most power after our own testing of several diameters.

I figure if I sell the Mule anytime soon, I would immediately go to production, and from there it would be about 2 weeks. Anyone need a really trick MINI race car?

Hope that helps!
Randy

Not yet, but it won't be the cheapest on the market. I am using heavier walled tubing, and the flanges and custom muffler design are not cheap either. I am guessing in the $900 range, but I won't know for sure until the final material costs are determined.

Hope that helps!
Randy
