So here's the story...I have someone in line for the header but if that falls through...PM me if you're interested...

The header is not labeled Megan but is manufactured by the same company and distributed by Edge...it is identical to the Megan...

I'm selling the header/test pipe, flange ported to match the Webb head (which is identical in size to the OEM header gasket BTW...also, it will work just find with a standard head), a third bung welded in for any wideband AF sensor...and a small 1/4" hole drilled for EGT probe (you can have this welded shut if you don't need it)...less than 100 miles...asking $180 plus shipping...

I also have the heat shield trimmed and flanged to clear the unique O2 sensor location on this header which requires slight modification of one heat shield...if you send me your unmodified heat shield, I'll send you mine...

Now, for the rest of the story...my Optima died so I got it replaced under warranty...I ported the Miltek header and mounted it on last night...still sounds purrty as it did before...just not as brash as the "other" header

While I had the parts off, I painted the heat shield with high temp ceramic in whatelse? RED

Oh yeah...everytime I saw a cop in my rearview mirror...I turn off into a parkinig lot Thanks for gettin me all paranoid about my plate...:impatient
Oh I can't trust my eyes. Don't do the flexible head plate on the red head plate! The air cannot flow. The head will stay under the hood. Why do you think we have a ventilator down the engine?

I don't understand what you're talking about...All MCS has both pieces of heat shield positioned like that from the factory...I just placed back they way they were...only it's now RED

Sid,
I think what he is saying is that he can't be sure but it looks like you have not left an air gap between the two shields (one red, one silver) There should be
Gap there so that air can flow around the engine. (like in traffic). "The head
(heat) will stay under the hood"

Yeh, this might be the product of non-native English and only 26 posts to NAM...The photo gives the *appearance* that there is little, if any, gap between the 2 heat shields. Of course, having spent much time around that area, I know that there is more gap than appears, and Sid would not mess up in this regard, being a MCS guru/master.
It goes well with your Red/Blue/Black and Silver engine bay motif, Sid! Sorry the Megan didn't work out, btw.
I personally think your mistake was asking the Missus. If my wife is in my MINI, she's in the wrong car...

cheers,

I see what you're saying...I went and checked and there is roughly a one inch gap...wouldn't want that nice RED to be rubbed off

BTW...went and ordered an extra plate just incase Officer Amadabeo pulls me over It was only $5...
