This is where my 20hp was blocked...the carbonized area is the where exhaust gasses from my Webb head was being blocked by a standard Miltek header...

Bye Bye bulls eyes...Pristine glass by Pilkington, installed Friday by Henderson Glass...made in Findland...Findland? I thought they only produce hot leggy blonds...
They make very nice glass too...The thought of Hot Leggy Blonds making Mini glass makes me warm all over
Tint band thanks to my good friend 4GASM...
I used a laser leveler to produce a clean water line...

1/2" diam bi-directional carbide bit with 1/4" shaft and a 1/2 hp air die grinder...did the first primary in about 10 minutesSomething 10 times the power of a dremel

The header's at a shop right now getting another bung welded on then I'll finish the grinding tomorrow...

I'm on to you but you already new that !
Can't wait for the SOP report .

That' the Megan header, and I think the grinding mask is off the OEM header gasket, which is very large compared to other aftermarket gaskets (like the one that comes with the Megan, eg.) My Megan was like this, and it seemed as if the flange had been offset during the setup for welding the primaries, as all primaries were displaced.
cheers,

Well ladies...I've decided to stick with the Miltek and the cat after reading and hearing all you guys warning about how insanely loud it would be:impatient I'll miss the opportunity to help add to the global warming effect though
As we'll be on road more than the track (and I don't want to deal with finding/welding a cat for the Megan/Edge header), I've decided to be safe as I'm already bordering on the edge of "citation" loud with my modified Borla Race...don't need to push my luck
I've ground out the Miltek's flange to match the Webb head and I'm just waiting on Partsman who's been kind enough to order me up a reasonably priced OEM O2 sensor...for which I could kick myself for having snipped the cable too close to the original sensor that I thought was stuck on for good on the bad header. I got it off after the header was removed and realized that I just wasted a perfectly good/expensive sensor

I still lust after the thought of continueing the install of the Megan/Edge header as it's so nicely done (except for the slight flange weld offset which is not an issue)...even my hotrod header specialist said it was very well made and could not match the price to replicate one in stainless when I brought it in for a bung installation. And this guy can build any custom header/exhaust system I want...he does exhaust for funny cars
If I follow through with this, I'll put up the Megan/Edge header for sale which I'll finish grinding the remainding three ports. This woundn't hurt for someone with a stock head but would sure help if you have a modified one. It also has a third bung installed incase you want to install a wideband gauge
Stay tuned for more pics...

Why don't you try out the Megan/Edge header and see just how loud it gets... Plus if theres any added performance gains.. At the very worst it'll be too loud and you'll have to take it off. Better than wondering 'what if'...
If you don't get a Stahl, do the Megan. Your pipe guy, hot rodder is right. Plus, the best primaries for the bucks.

So is it bolted up yet?
I need to finish grinding the Megan/Edge headers tonight and then I'll start reassembly...
Has anyone had issues inserting these header from the botton in? The primaries flare out wider than Miltek and I'm wondering if they'll go in smoothly...

I think that all the grinding is making some one testy

I lined up the template I took of the head's port and painted the Miltek same as the Megan. They were displaced as well but were evenly divided on both sides. The main difference between the two headers are in the throat of the primaries...the Miltek are smaller diameter so the grinds were less severe...more of a champher...the Megan/Edge's primaries are larger diameter so there was more material to remove...
The Miltek's primaries appear to be designed for stock heads while the Megan/Edge has more room to accomodate ported heads...
I suspect the longer/straighter/larger diameter of the Megan/Edge primaries will have an edge over the Miltek in both sound and performance

No kiddin...:impatient
