Here we go again...

Up on stilts with Miltek header removed ready for replacement...

The Miltek has served me well but the cat went bad and the good people at Stratmosphere (US distributor of Miltek) has been absolutely golden through my warranty process...they sent me a new one in exchange for the old

The new Miltek's cat has been redesigned to prevent future failure and I'm still debating whether I need a cat at all (yes...I'm a hate monger and an evil conservatist who likes to club baby seals in my time off when I'm not beating my kids )...

I got a new Megan header off Ebay...well it's not Megan but made by the same manufacturer according to the seller...and it's cheap so I thought I try it out first as I need to install another bung for my wideband and drill a hole for my EGT probe...This time, I'm also going to make a template of my Webb's larger exhaust ports and grind the header flange to match...talk about the last huge bottleneck:impatient What's the point of a ported head when it meets up with a flange that's stock size!!!...don't want to do that to the Miltek if I decide to sell it later

It might be loud as hell so I'll let you guys know later...if I can live with the extra volumn...I'll put up the new Miltek header/cat for sale at a discount...

Look at the difference between the Webb head exhaust opening and the header flange

Inside line is the flange...

Wow pretty big difference. You think it'll be a good size increase in seat of the pants feel?

BTW I agree with BahamaBart, even on stands your car looks amazing. And the red stands do look equally nice. Your car is so clean. Always been a fan. Good luck!

*EDIT* BTW, please do tell your impressions on the Megan Header compared to the Miltek. Quality, fitment, etc.

I've done sound clips and it never sounds anything like it does in person...they're really useless IMO

Imagine someone asking to make a sound clip of their 5000 watt sound system...it just doesn't work...

I'm interested in how you feel about the two. Also could you take a shot of the CAT that came with the new header. I'm curious at what the inside looks like compared to my new header.

Gosh you have the mirrors off too..haha

LOL...there's no cat with the Megan It's a very short resonator...I don't really know why they even bothered...it doesn't look like it's even functional...I could always claim that it IS a cat since it kinda looks like one

Having been someone who had run the megan racing without cat...It is loud as hell!

You will probably find yourself switching back to the cat...
