Alta sprayer going everywhere!!

Last night I removed my rear wiper and rerouted the washer fluid hose to my Alta aftercooler. It seems to work well and keep the temps down but it is spraying all over my car. It was on the headlights, hood, windshield, and bumper. I have changed the angle but it still seems to cause a mess. I'm wondering if I can relocate it somewhere else?

I would also echo calling Alta, but it sure sounds like the spray nozzles are facing the wrong direction.

Funny this should come up, I was out with a few of my mates this weekend to dyno my car, as we kicked tires & told lies, slowly the bonnets came up & to my surprise one of the lads had as many 2" holes cut in the box between the firewall & engine compartment as he could get, when asked why? he told us that it allows a positive flow though for all the air coming into the engine bay. He went on to say that he had found that air got trapped in there & had only a few places to go mostly back out the hood scoop & cowl vents, thus blowing all over the windshield & front part of the car when he used his spray. with the holes this was cut down a lot. It made sense.

Where is your sprayer mounted? When I had the Alta IC, the original mounting position was off to one side and caused the same problem until I fabbed a custom mount to situate it centrally...

I adopted this location to the DFIC and it has worked well...

I would love to have it in the middle but the there is no real way to mount it on the Alta. I will have to go to Home Depot and look around for a while to see if I can come up with any new ideas.

Are you using Alta's TMIC with their diverter? I was faced with the same situation so I created a center mount by using an L aluminum extrusion attached to the front plate (which is not a core)...the only other mod needed was a small semi circle filed away from the hood scoop to provide clearance for the spray head...wish I still had pics to show you...
