Hi i have a M7 venom nitrous system fitted to my cooper s,and wonderd if it would be better to mount the jet centraly in the manafold so it gives an even spray to all pistons rather than mounting it where they sudjust which is on the side of the main ,is it intake or out take that connects to the intercooler..
The problem with doing it this way (and im not an expert) would seem that it would feed 50% of the nos to the 1st cylender then less to the 2nd and even less to the 3rd and well ,you get where im going ,it just seems that the heat wont be evenly dispersed.So can anyone help before i decide where to place the jet.

 

i'm sure all cylinders would get equal amounts, i mean, the engine is ingesting air into every cylinder without the nitrous, so what would be different with it.

the only thing i could see would be insufficient fuel...

 

Remember that the engine is only going to have one cylinder at a time open to the intake, so having it at the end of the manifold should be just fine. And it is also under pressure from the SC.

they don'y make a wet system to fit the cooper s ?

 

dont think so ,but ive been speaking to M7 and they have told me to mount it in the stock place as per instructions and they say it should be fine as they have extensivly tested it in that position .so im sticking with that

The elbow before the intake manifold after the IC is the best spot you can mount your nozzle. You want the nitrous to atomize as much as possible with the air so it will hit all 4 cylinders equally. If done correctly you can drill this hole without taking off the horn either.

YES you can get a Wet kit that's fairly simple to install. For more info send me a PM.

One more thing NOS is just a Nitrous company brand name...you have Venom not NOS. It kills me when people are like "NAWS" Cheers -- Johan

 

sorry dude didnt realize i had put the word NOS down only nitrous but at least you new what i was on about.So regarding fitting

 

As i was saying with fitting do i just need to take the intercooler off and can i then get something in the elbow to stop sworf going into the engine.

 

Yes, it is CRUTIAL that no little metal shavings enter the intake manifold, that can lead to catistrophic failure. Get an oily rag and stuff in there(new oil, it will help hold onto the metal shavings). IF you really want to go to the extreme also use a little vacume cleaner, like the one for a computer. Take your time and do it right and you won't have any problems. Good luck and whatever you do have FUN -- Johan
