Peter, any word on pricing or availability yet or is it too soon to know. I'm a little confused about whether M7 exclusivly will be selling this kit, or if DDM will be selling it as well. I know they're the ones making the kit, but I was under the impression that M7 would be distributing it.

I know you said you don't know much about the water to air systems, so you may not be the person to ask, but I value your input!
I rode in the stock car w the stock IC and it was almost as strong as my car.... in fact below 5500 might be stronger..... I am a BIG fan of the DFIC which is on my car..... anything you can do to get the charge colder is good..... I did not go W2A because of the complexity and really had not seen convincing data to justify it....or recomendations for that matter.... there seems to be a renewed interest in W2A but for me it is DFIC.

Since the M62 is more thermally efficient the stock unit should be fine.

What will be of interest is if anyone will venture into the arena of producing an IC that will flow more.
Lower boost with better air flow and IATs that should be lower than what we run now.
Since all the current production units are based on the flow rate of the current OEM IC all of these units may become a restriction to a high flow motor.

Just a thought.

Ok now back to your regularly scheduled program

The 62 is on the car and Dave is making the new pulley as I write this.... the car will be running tonight after almost 5 weeks...... to the dyno tomorrow to check A/F and then on Sunday we are on out way to Nashville.....I will drive the car around for about a week in Atlanta and then to Greenville to do a "tune".... I will give people rides in Nashville......it has been suggested that I charge $1 but they are free....tips accepted

While everyone is breathlessly waiting for Spider's assesment of the M62 kit, I was hoping that Major Mini aka Ryan would post his impressions of the kit. Video would also be cool...

If I'm not mistaken, wasn't he the owner of the "stock" test car? I haven't seen anything from him on this thread for a while now.

I'm watching this thread daily for some more info on the M62. It's like watching a pot come to boil , only much slower.

Keep up the great work Tuner Pioneers !!!!

A video would be cool Wonder how that "whine" sounds.

That's more like watching grass grow or paint dry.

This thread is great.

I cannot wait to see where it goes next! SpiderX, if at all possible, some video footage would be most excellent, especially so we could hear how the engine sounds. Specifically the supercharge whine... is it more pronounced than the M45? Is it higher or lower pitched?

THANKS!

COOL THREAD!!! HISTORY MAKING!

Hey Bob,

I like the new HDI box that Dave put on. The white cap/cover is a nice touch!

I'm sure that it will help on the dyno......
