The dissolution of TMMZ = the dissolution of the results, no?

That is an extreme way to get out of posting the results.

Yes, unfortunately it did. The results will be up, at least that's how i understand it and that's where i stand. For the record, I would have wished the results up a month ago, but that was not my call. There are issues. I'm sorry to say.

Also for the record, this is a very sad subject for those involved. I can assume the results will be up, but please don't rub any salt in the wounds.

Again, please, those who have the results have no wish of suppression. Quite the opposite. ::collapses in a pool of hopelessness::

There arent any more TMMZ members who even post on NAM anymore ....the one TMMZ member i can think of is banned from NAM. So that might make it hard to post here

There is a LOT I don't get right now... TMMZ, which has been around for a few years now, is dissolved?? WTF happened?

Regarding results... For gods sake, anyone with half a brain on NAM knows that there are many many variables that go into testing accurately, so almost anything that's posted is taken with a grain of salt... including my OWN dyno results on my car! Just post the facts please... We tested this way, this is the results we saw on this given day etc.

While I appreciate the fact that they "invited" different vendors, and they either chose to participate or not... It makes me think of Consumer Reports.
They buy their products off the shelf, and test em out. Manufacturers don't send in their products, because it leaves room for them to make the unit they send better than the typical off the shelf unit. If you want as objective results as possible, this seems to be a better method of testing. I mean honestly, I would trust your off the shelf K&N results more than I would with the representative there to install and oversee any unit.

In the end, it really doesn't matter for me I suppose...I have an Alta and I'm perfectly happy with it, not changing unless something else makes a lot more power.

We allowed individual runs of intakes such as the HAI (as i'm sure you already know, since the numbers have already been posted thanks to R1 kid)...We just felt it would be unfair to the tuners to enter their product without their permission. Talk to any car magazine who offers shootouts and ask them about their dealings with tuners...they must ask for approval as well.

I don't know what unsanctioned HP is sorry....
In a way I hate to pile on here, but this post is just too much. While the magazines may do the same thing, they - just like you - are short-changing the public with their corporate ***-kissing. At least they have a business reason to keep manufacturers happy.

The idea that you are going to provide less information now in hopes that you can provide more information in the future is REDICULOUS. Of course, this follows the trend of self-serving product reviews, making people go to the "team's" website for content, and now the creation of yet another site to fragment the community.

Maybe you'll hire a PR firm to right the release when you finally get your acts together. Thanks for the attempt.

If you don't agree with our past actions, then i would suggest that you attempt to do it yourself.

In reference to your second paragraph. I wasnt saying that we were withholding info IN HOPES of providing more later....we withheld it to avoid flames for "not enough info".

How this could be completely self-serving is beyond me. When released it will serve others as well. Of course it would help the team by drawing to your website, but how much could it possibly help? Unlike NAM, or other forums, it is un-sponsored and gains nothing besides your presence.

We have our acts together, sorry you disagree.

In short without divulging too much personal information, the second paragraph contains the answer to the first. There was a group of us who wanted to be able to provide the information to the public asap, there were others who kept postponing things (not just this article). So a large group of us have set off as a separate group so that we will be less hindered in our progression while still holding on to our own style. We wanted to take the intake article with us but ran into issues with it since it was under the name of TMMZ technically

Now that you have drawn so much attention to yourselves .... did you really want to do that? .... I am seeing a trend where people are afraid to do anything because of fear of getting flamed...... hell, that's half the fun....

Note to all flamers.... Bob's law #2 "it is easier to critique than to create." Before you flame ,.... ask yourself what new original work you have brought to the party?..... how where you treated? did you like it? where your findings presented in an arrogant manner inviting the "flameing?" How would you like to be treated if you brought something "new?"....... Get my point...... I'm not saying that bogus claims are to be given a pass....... not at all..... or that claims should go unchallenged ..... especially from people who stand to profit from making claims that are unsubstantiated. However, If you think an undertaking like this is easy, try one yourself....... that being said,....I do think that for all the pre promotion on this test we should have heard something by now...... frankly , I have lost interest in the results.... and I was very excited.

Gestation is taking a while...

such is life. I think it's best if we all go to other tasks, and we'll all be pleasantly surprised when results show up. Kind of like Social Security in the future when I retire.....

You know if you change your NAM settings to show 40 posts per page it is only 5 pages, right?

Unless you frequented TMMZ, or remember all the way back to the old days of MCO, you probably dont know of them.

you are correct that all of the posters in here....Will, Ingsoc, Hollis, and I (among others) are now part of Motoring Underground or atleast post over there.

I already took this route weeks ago, and now come back to more pointless dribble. Somehow, I don't think there will be any surprises with these results.

WOW, I don't where to begin.

1) this thread should proabably JUST BE DELETED.

2) Andy beig accused of inaccuracy thats one for the record books. I could see him being accused of being overly detailed, overly perscise, overly technical and at times overly opinionated and argumentative perhaps but inaccurate?

3) Spidey bringing sheep into the thread. I'll assume its not a confession but it would explain your back problems as well as the fact that at no time did we ever see a picture of the date you took out while testing the new exhaust.

4) I'm still chuckling about the determination that HAI is not an intake and the rogue reference. I understand that you opted not to test and accept that you didn't. I didn't expect for you to test every intake on the market. BUT lets not kid ourselves here, it was NOT because it was not an intake, a velocity stack is a type of intake. It was politics is the answer - kind of hard to sell CAI when an option is simply to add a filter directly to the throttle body. No vendor wants to help in documenting its viability. Okay we get it, we are not stupid.

this thread - lots of foreplay but no happy ending .
