Far from a scientific observation; more air equals more dirt. Change the filter more often...we really should move on.

AGS installed,Thanks to M7

Sorry guys for holding out. I am bursting with joy to notice what a big different after the AGS was installed .

The supercharger scream from throttle to redline like an F-16 fighter fighter jet. The Alta sound good but the AGS sound great from any RPM.

Throttle responds is quick and positive from idle to redline.I specially like that quick throttle responds as I heel/toe down shifting.

I took my friend for a ride after we installed the MTH software, he said to me that my mule has tremendous acceleration and it keeps pulling to redline, and he also like the screaming S.C sound and he wants one installed as soon as M7 releases it. I don't listen to music anymore while I'm driving, I just listen to the AGS and the Milltek sing

for the great product Peter.

Just wondering.... is this a prototype that you got? or is this the 1st "production" unit?

Nope!! not the TCE kit, jaques said he is never going to install this kit on any other mini, in fact he had sent the other one back that another guy had ordered. He had to modify the kit and my car in order for him to get them on and I needed 15mm spacers. I can't wait to see that ****!!!!

Q

Passing by here....

Hope the fit issues are not with my 13" kits and if they are; please address any problems my way and I'll do what I can to correct things. Both the TCE 13s require minor grinding of the spindle ears to clear the ears of the calipers, and taking about 5m per side it's of no compromise to the integrity of the spindle. Just that the lower ear has a larger casting line on it and interferes with the caliper ears.

Both the 13 do require proper wheel spacers to fit. And ALL my customers are clearly made aware of this before they purchase the kit. There is a rather universal template/chart/scale/pic to check fit on my web page under FAQ. Even those with aftermarket wheels that are "oh, they'll fit, my wheels are really nice" get directed to this page to check fit. And with 13" rotors the fit it checked up to a 7" radius as well.

Smaller Wilwood factory kits don't take up near this much space. Due in part to the much smaller, narrow calipers, and the very thin brake pads. I don't list the clearance on my charts but it's less than the Street Sport 13. Surprisingly not by all that much though as they don't use as deep a hat as they could have.

Regardless of what or who's product it is I always feel it's more important to contact the vendor and manufactures directly for corrective measures first. Often the problems are only minor and can be easily corrected.

Air gain System Finally here

Team M7 is proud to finally being able to offer
the "Air Gain System" (AGS) for sale. We will
begin to take preorders for this exceptional
system and the first batch will ship April
22nd...

When I originally started to work on the AGS, I
thought I would have a final system available
within months... I was wrong big time, and for
that I apologize.

The first shipments will go out sans heat shield,
as we decided to move away from the low-tech
approach of a steel heat shield. The forth-coming
shields will be composite material, either black
gelcoat fiberglass or carbon Fiber.

The change-of-heart regarding the heat shield
really follows the original "Think outside the
box" approach of the AGS, and will allow us to
better contour the shield for this application;
and with that, provide more cool air to the AGS
filter.

Here's a breakdown of what will come in the box:

* 12" Hose 1/2" ø
* AGS tube
* AGS insert
* AGS Filter
* T-bolt Clamp (1pc)
* Small clamps (5pcs)
* Medium wire clamps (2pcs)
* Hose connector (1pc)
* 3' Hose 3/16 ø
* Elbows 90º for AGS (2pcs)
* Throttle body elbow CNC aluminum (1pc)
* M7 Aluminum label (1pc)
* Wiring harness jumper 7" (1pc)
* Vacuum adapters for MAP sensor and VAC booster
and 24" of vacuum hose
* AGS filter to crank case vent adapter elbow (1pc)
* Radiator hose heat shield blanket w/3 cable ties
* Radiator hose extension with adapter and (3) hose clamps
* Red bolt Cap to prevent chafing of TB

The system was conceived to allow installation
without cutting any wires or any other stock
parts.

As for installation...yes it's harder then
installing your run-of-the-mill MINI intake, but
with that said, we have gone to amazing lengths
to allow the system to be virtually plug & play.
To make life easier, we will deliver the system
with a very complete full color install manual
allowing you to do the job in hours, as opposed
to days. Further guaranteeing your success, our
"Tech line" is staffed with a live person 7 days
a week. M7 understands that great products are
one thing, but minus anything less then superb
support, well, that's not acceptable.

And better yet, this innovation and support comes
with very reasonable pricing:

Price: M7 AGS no heat shield $246.00

Price: M7 AGS w/ heat shield $299.00
available in approx 3-4weeks

Price: M7 AGS pro w/ heat shield and 62mm TB $599.00

I saw the AGS on Bill K's car today and it is awesone! The thing that sticks with me is how unique (outside the box) the system is compared to other CAI systems. Oh, and the sound! The symphony of supercharger whine and intake roar is a beautiful automotive opera! The only way I can describe it is like an older Ducati motorcycle with the Delorto carbs. The air is as loud going in as it is coming out! But Bill said that the interior of the car is actually quieter than an Alta because of the forward location of the intake - vs - the stock and Alta system.

Same with a HAI.... its much more pleasant than the alta on the ears (from inside at least... I LOVE the scream from outside the car with it). Im sure that opening up that bottleneck and getting rid of a bend will increase the outside noise even more! Its gonna be f*ckin great sounding Cant wait to slap it on a dyno. Ill post before and after dyno numbers once its on Yes, mine is ordered.... 22nd needs to hurry the hell up and get here already!
