Drivetrain Turbo Oil Feed Line
Turbo Oil Feed Line
Looking for current recommendation for aftermarket oil feed line. I did some searching, but many of the threads are years old, so not sure if the reviews are still accurate.

Its on sale, and looks like it has some of those, while you’re there maintenance parts.

I'd rather not get a cheap one for fear it would suffer premature failure, but would like a braided version over the OEM steel line.
I think Project Mini has ones of these on his car, i'm pretty sure he mentioned it in one of his videos. There was a thread about these where ECS and DT might have mentioned a few things on them.
https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/min...-11658617069kt this isnt braided but has the lifetime warranty.

I put this one on my car when I swapped the turbo and is holding up fine. I've only put 2,000 miles on it so far but I haven't had any issues with it. https://www.ecstuning.com/b-nm-engin...nm.498858~nme/

Get one custom made steel braided reinforced line from a hydraulic shop if possible, make sure it is substantially longer than the after market braided lines available, then reroute the line around the front of the cold side of the turbo instead of between the hot and cold side. If you are tracking your car or driving it very hard there is a danger of melting the line if you run it up between the turbo halves, it could cause catastrophic engine failure or worse engine fire. See my previous post on this subject. https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...lure-fire.html

Disregard the Forge blanket. It's garbage. Get a WMW wrap.

I like the idea of the Forge turbo blanket, too
My car is strictly a daily driver. No autocross, no track duty. Currently sitting at 114k miles, and still the OEM oil feed line with no leaks or weeping. I'm giving consideration to a braided line for maintenance.

Don't waste your time or money with the Forge, it is garbage. I got rid of the Forge after a week and replaced it with the WMW turbo blanket. The WMW blanket costs more, but it fits perfectly and most importantly, it works.
Please tell more about the Forge... I like that it covers the manifold and turbine housing, similar to the stock heat shield. The WMW only wraps the turbine housing. Ultimately, I would get the manifold, turbine housing, and downpipe Swaintech coated. But, that has to wait until I am ready to swap off the turbo.
My bad, I thought you were talking about the turbo wrap.
I don't have any experience with the heat shield replacement, if it's anything like their turbo wrap, I'd avoid it. The turbo wrap was thin, and didn't fit right. Since I don't use the factory heat shield, it's imperative that the heat stays in the turbo.
