Customer wanted an intercooler, so we got him a Forge Intercooler.

Installed this afternoon. Battle tuned Stg2.

I'm pretty new to tuned cars and water/meth injection systems, I have heard members reaching some impressive HP/TQ numbers. I'm a little baffled as to why no one is running a water/meth injection alongside the Battle/DNA Tune, the main reason is how meth injection system prevent detonation or pre-ignition for which the R56 Mini's are known for. Are there any reasons why one can't run a meth injection alongside the Battle/DNA Tune?

Thanks,
Systemlord.

I run water/meth. I care less to tune for it. So baffled? Shouldn't be. Not like everyone has $1200 laying around to buy it. You could ask the same question for anyone with a RMW, Evolve, NM, etc etc.

You can run methanol alongside any tune. Tuning for it, is something different.
I'm doing so with the JB. It's certainly piece of mind, when driving the car hard.

If you can keep the tank topped off and never run out while doing runs, you'll be fine.
But if the system is off/not functioning properly, there goes your motor.

Up to you whether the risk is worth it or not.

As I understand it there are two ways to set-up a meth injection system, one just to curb detonation/pre-ignition lowering combustion chamber temperatures and two increase pressure in combustion chamber therefore supercharging your octane rating with pump gas. If I were to do a tune I'd want extra insurance that detonation/pre-ignition won't have a chance to blow my engine. If my understanding is wrong I apologize.

By not tuning for it, the kit itself is already doing this on a regular basis. So yes my kit is doing this and has been doing this for a while now.

I ordered the GFB DV to go along with my tune. Now the fun part to of trying to get rid of my AP. I can't wait to drive this thing when it actually pulls through the revs.

I was thinking maybe have a separate tune done once I have added the meth injection. I figured use it when at the track and just put the normal tune in for every day use. At this point it just a thought though.

Can you do a tune for straight E85? Not sure if we need to upgrade fuel pumps or anything.

Impressive considering that it's whp, probably 270hp. What was the torque on that tune?

Just sent my files in to get the 1st tune. Going to try the linear map. Hopefully will not miss the low end fun of a typical Mini. Let you all know my opinions later. Yes I'm under estimating this version of tune, sorry about that, but if you never try it how will you know.

That's impressive! What was the baseline dyno?

So far I'm enjoying my Stage 1 very much. Very clean and smooth power. Can't wait to go Stage 3

Was thinking I would have had more, but plenty to play with. Running 100% on the methanol and 91 proof gas.....

Just a curious question, I see you do not have the hot side NM tube. Why is this?

Ahhhh. Yeah mine has been lax as of late, but I may reach my limit for the year here soon. Once I get my FMIC. It'll be time to quit.... for now. Before I risk my marriage
