Ahh the water/meth explains it! I was wondering how you got such a big number.

Yes sir, stock turbine.

When i had the accessport, before the battle tune, it was boosting up to 23 psi hahaha

So im sure it can take 18-19 no problem.

Damn! 23psi? Thats scary on the stock turbo haha. What kind of dyno were you on. You can get more power if you can get DNA to up the boost and increase timing. I was at 18psi on the stock turbo with an aquamist at 226whp. That was on a Mustang Dyno at 100 degrees outside. Of course all dynos and locations in weather will yield different results.

What supporting mods did you have to get 226whp?

Dur hur, I just read your sig. That's not bad. I have similar mods but, I have not made it back to the dyno yet to see where the DNA/Battle Tuning tune set me at. I want to turn up my meth injection a little bit and to see if I can get the tune clean up a little bit more when I dyno it.

wow has this just died off or what...???

I have stage 1 running now , have stage 2 ready just have not had any time to put my mods on.
Question- on stage 1 with intake and muffler delete on ,under boost my air temps are okay, my fuel trims are good but I never see my timing move off of 0 deg. Is that just the "safe can tune " mode ??
Seams like that is leaving some power on the table not being used ??
Anyone else notice this ??

DNA/Battle ,
Is that just a safe mode ? keeping the timing at 0 ?

I've seen timing go up to about 50 degrees advanced with my Torque app and Stage 2 and 3 tunes. Timing appears to be really dynamic, it's never stayed at 0.

correct..... when driving
I'm talking about full throttle , full boost..
Thanks for the reply , next time you have a nice road make a pull and let me know what you see for timing.....

I have the stage 2 right now since I took off my downpipe, driving around today at idle it was about 1.5 degrees advanced, then went up to 48.5 degrees of advance at full throttle up to about 14.5 lbs of boost. Boost goes higher with increasing revs but I didn't have a chance to redline today.

It's in a sweet spot as it is. We can give you more timing if you want to see timing pull though!

well that is what is bugging me, mine stays at 0 deg when I'm in it hard. I have used retard devices on NOS and turbo's on my bikes. I know you don't want to go crazy with advance but just hanging at zero seams like my table ( fuel, boost, timing) isn't working

Well I feel like ALL my timing HAS been pulled.
I'm a little shocked that barnoun went to 48.5 deg advance with full throttle and on boost , that seams really high

DNA - what does the table contain that decides how much advance the ECU will take it ?? IAT , Fuel pressure, boost , short/long fuel trim ????

I don't want to say what timing my motor needs, the ECU should decide right ?

48.5 degrees advance at WOT is high, too high to be credible.

Keep in mind you are running just a Stage1, so you shouldn't be expecting rip roaring torque and power.

What's your ambient temp there.

That's what the "timing advance" PID on the Torque app is showing me. Today on the morning commute it hit 52.5 degrees of positive advance. Idk what to say but its what I'm seeing.

ouch, that is a little to scary to me.... I would think 8-12 would be a good number, If I was seeing that I would be asking the same question I'm asking but from the opposite direction> like is everyone else seeing crazy high advance during full throttle... to much advance will kill a motor , to little will rob power

well that is why I am asking what all goes into the table for this function. My IAT during thanksgiving holidays was 44 at night and 60 during the day , before it has always been hot and just figured the ECU was playing it safe. ( I'm in Vegas baby..lol so it's hot during the summer )

I understand stage 1 is not rip and roaring, but the ECU should be trying to put some kind of advance in to aid in power.

I have checked this with my scanGauge and my scanXL

Hard for me to see in your screen shot, but....
* is that long or short fuel trim, looks like its hunting around a lot
*your timing looks to be 9 deg ?
* having that much vacuum at full throttle is a little odd
* your almost 80 deg on air inlet temp, I would think the ECU would not want to try and put a lot of timing and boost in with that high of a reading

are you running stock turbo ?

Im gonna run the stock map for a day to see what kind of timing it gets. Now I'm a little worried lol.

Stock turbo. That's long term fuel trim.

The screen shot was taken at idle after about a 30min stop and go commute, explaining the high inlet temp. As soon as the car is moving inlet temp drops to ambient.

Just to make sure that this is at wide open throttle. At idle, partial throttle or cruising it different thing completely.

Aggressive timing advance is about 15-20 degrees, most of the time that is not possible due to knock.

The max I've seen on my manic stage 2+ (map B) is ~8 degrees. Map C will go higher but requires race gas.

If you are seeing 50 degrees at WOT there is something wrong with the app. Your engine would be blown by now.

Good point. I cannot confirm that 50 degrees is at WOT, it is what I see after doing a WOT run so it could be at partial throttle. I will followup to see what timing I get while at WOT after work today. I'll put the phone near my line of sight.
