Drivetrain My build thread.
If I were you I would not block off both sides of the PCV. The reason I say that because all it is going to do is cause blow buy through the cylinders. I would suggest getting a catch can or two instead.
I only have the back blocked off. As for blow by, it generally travels out of the combustion chamber into the crank case. Not the other way. Blocking off both sides would be a terrible idea, not sure what would happen but it couldn't be good. With these forged pistons there is so much more blow buy upon start up its almost comical. There is no way I would run it into my engine without a catch can. After its warmed up I didn't notice any.
Got you I must have looked at your other picture wrong where it looked like you had both sides blocked off. If you had blocked of both sides it would eventually start finding places to work its way out of.
Yeah, that would be bad. I vent out the front. Ill post a couple I phone videos soon. It sounds like a baby diesel.
I also had to go out and purchased a used Netbook to run the Dimsport tool. Main computer is a mac.

And you thought your cold start noise was bad....
But that is totally normal for forged pistons. It goes away once the car is warmed up all the way.
Valve Cover Pressure (VCP) Test.
I went out and bought an extra oil cap ($10), tapped it for boost, and did some preliminary testing.

Ignore the bad noise. My exhaust needs to be adjusted, it rubs on the sub frame every once and a while.
After driving around for a bit I never experienced positive pressure. Once I started driving around 55Mph I could notice a slight vacuum of maybe half a pound. I stayed out of the boost. Once my engine is broke in I will do it again, and throw a little boost at it. Then I'll put it back to stack and test it that way as well.
Oh and I got a muffler I am going to test out. 3'' straight trough 6x14 round. I just stuck it on the end for a quick demo and it make it much deeper.
