Radu EAU,
Hard to tell but it looks like you were able to put the stock tips back on. That makes for a cool stealth install (sounds good too)

UPDATE:
Just put on the new resonator from alta today, and the sound is definitely a lot deeper. its sounds a lot better to me, but for this being considered one of the "quiter" exhaust, the new resonator gave it a boost making it pretty loud. ill try to post up a vid soon, but i forgot to make a vid with the old one.

I've posted this before, but I'll put it here again. If anyone wants to hear the difference between the 2 resonators, I have mp3 sound files (and pictures) here.

rwkeating, those are good sound clips but really dont do the new resonator its justice. its pretty loud and deep now. a little drone while cruising but not annoying at all. ill also be posting up a video soon.

Ok, after searching every thread, you tube video and reading an assortment of reviews, the winner is........ Invidia cat back! For the price and what Ive heard others say about this product, Ill take the $400 savings and buy more mods!!
I was considering the Borla sport but i think for the price, Invidia will work just fine. Thanks to everyone for the videos, pics, and reviews. NAM rocks!

I just picked up my new-to-me 04 MCS today.
Found out they don't burble near as much as the 05-06

Will an exhaust add more burble? I know it was an ECU thing but didn't know if a catback would help articulate it more?
If so, which one? I want burble!

any exhaust will help to amplify the burble. Here is a video i found on youtube of a mini on the dragon. The video setup allows for a pretty good sampling of the exhaust (magnaflow). Hope the owner doesn't mind I know he's on here somewhere

My friend has an 05 MCS and he recently did the one ball. Sounds really nice, almost sounds like a sport exhaust. I'm always expecting to see flames shoot out when he revs
The burble is really nice too. I'm mad jelous.

Just hope my 04 can squeeze out a little more. It's very stingy.

Yeah I agree, I think the Invidia sounds the best IMO. Please post back your experience after you've installed it. I'm leaning heavily towards Invidia already but it's always nice to hear more opinions.

The good - there isn't much drone with the Invidia, it's just loud enough, looks really good, well condtructed & a good fit.

4+ years & counting........ best buy? In this case, that would be a yes.

I like the tips. I'm just skeptical of the price. I beleive you get what you pay for. But hey, who knows, could be a quality item. If you try it, post back some feedback

Just something to keep in mind....they say it fits 02-06 but we all know that that isn't true. The hangars changed in 05 so right off the bat the people advertising the product really have no interest in what they are selling. Looks just like a copy and paste site. Also notice there is no address for the business. They're just purchasing products and drop shipping them from the manufacturer, no support, no B&M (brick and mortar) store to walk in to. Plus like dhabutcher said, look exactly like the Megan, no design innovations there at all

Ok. So on the hangers, what modifications would need to be made if the exhaust is not set up for my car?

I have the invidia. It's awesome. The videos on youtube don't do it justice. I love the pop it makes when you ride a gear down. Alta header is next.

For anyone with an R50 and no aero package, Hartge is offering a sale on their exhausts which are stupid sick. I think they are half off which will more then compensate for shipping. 354,38 EUR or about $450. Sick price, sick manufacturer, very rare.

Better yet, anyone ever heard or seen this exhaust on our shores?? I was loosing sleep over it for a year so I got an Alta instead. Dying to get my hands on one and I finally found the manufacturer and am waiting on pricing. He said he had no valances left but i assume an R50 valance cut will fit?

I am waiting to see if I can get a sound clip but I am pretty sure it is nice and mellow. It is from a supplier in the UK that has fitted quite a few so I hope they have something.

I finally made the jump and got a Magnaflow exhaust over the weekend. It sounds great and looks good except I got the exhaust for the early version that does not match up with my inside rear hanger brackets of my '05 MCS. I can modify the hangers of the exhaust by bending the hangers but wanted to know if anyone has any pictures or diagrams of the hanger brackets on their '02-'04 car. If I can just order/install the old style hangers, that might work as well. Any and all thoughts are welcome. Thanks.
