I just got a TC Sportline exhaust installed yesterday. Yeah, it's an 'ebay exhaust', but it sounds great and there's a nice power increase. Anyone looking for a low buget exhaust should look into this system or the Megan system. Total was a little over $500 including installation. See my review thread for more info

As for any exhaust sounding ricey on the MCS... every exhaust will sound a little ricey. I mean, it's a 1.6L engine! You're not going to get it to sound perfect with such low displacement. Getting a header as well as a catback might change the sound though.

PALO UBER EXHAUST
Does anyone have or know where I would be able to find some sound clips or feed back on the palo uber system. i like the look of having the pipes on the side so its down to the Blue Flame and the Palo Uber, but i can't find to much on the palo system. Someone else already spoke of the Blue Flame earlier in this thread. Any help is much appreciated..

Custom exhaust
Thinking of getting a custom exhaust on my R53 S and wanted some opinions on how i should proceed.
Thinking of doing a one muffler setup with a magnaflow exhaust kind of like the dinan setup.
Anybody here tried that? I have searched and found couple of sound clips on custom jobs but not much. hoping the muffler guy can do a good mandrel bend. Plus should i get a resonator or not?
Feedback Appreciated. Thanx NAMers

I was out driving in LA two days ago on Beverly near the Beverly Center and saw a sweet all blacked out Mini drive by. It had a great looking exhaust and I've been looking all over for it since. I just finished 14 pages here and didn't see it.
It looked like a sideways number '8', without the middle cross section. Or said another way, two slightly overlapping circles joined together. Anyone know what that is? It could have just been tips I suppose, but it looked great.
Thanks,
/zp

Picked up a brand new Invidia exhaust for my '05 MCS. Install was straightforward. No instructions--not like I needed any. Only thing I wasn't sure was that the tips have a tab that seems to align them, but there wasn't a bolt or any kind of fastener to hold them together. Was something forgotten?
Took me about 3.5 hrs--30 minutes to remove OEM exhaust and 30 minutes to remove straps from hangers, lol, an hour to put it all together and struggle under the MINI getting things into place, only to realize I put one piece upside down.
Used an air ratchet where I could and that sped the install and relieved effort substantially--a lift would have reduced the time dramatically as would have a second pair of hands, and the fact I just came off a 12 hour detail didn't help, but I was too excited NOT to install it.
First time I fired her up still on the jack stands-lots of smoke, but a beautiful purrr and aggressive growl. Doesn't sound stock at all at any point--tone is deeper than OEM. Feels great in conjunction with my 16% pulley and Alta Intake.
