Drivetrain D1 Spec Throttle Boost REVIEW!!!!!!!! FINALLY!!!!
Sounds like my other custom tune for another car...the tuner adjusted the throttle rate for a faster ratio and it takes much less pedal travel for power to come in...I'm going to have to try this out...just waiting for some cool pics of this diy...
haha...ok I feel better...in the mean time before you get pics up, where are the junction cable connected to? It looks like the go pedal pushes a rod through the firewall...is the transducer on the other side?
i got mine at 140 shipped to Philippines. i haven't installed it yet. i'm looking for pictures here. I also do not know how to remove the knee bolster hehe. Reason i don't want install it yet is because i want to see how raze spliced the wires. are you going to use the obd2 port?

no need for obd...it only connect there for power...you can tap anywhere there's power...
can you show me some pictures? i'm kinda illerate when it comes to this
. so basically you can just tap anywhere correct? did you remove the 3 colored wires the one in the middle plug? are you going to remove the obd2 port from the d1 spec and just splice the wire and tap it to a power source wire?

Great job on the pictures. Just so everyone has all the info, and for those who may not want to tap into the OBD II port you can always purchase one of these and have plug and play.

Nope i just used a small screw driver to pop the connector off the pedal, pluged it into the supplied harness connector and just plugged the harness connector into the pedal and routed the wires.

Just installed this tonight, wow what a difference. Its pretty much a cooper s with a sport mode function. What can i say, throttle response is how it should be, rev matching went from difficult to spot on easy. I would put this mod up there with the one ball cause its cheap and almost necessary for a more aggressive driver. I assume you could also save some gas money with the "eco" mode seeing as it also made a huge difference. Another plus about the D1 is that it shows battery voltage with a push of a button which is very convenient...the display itself is all eye candy also, showing you at what % your throttle is at when driving. I highly recommend this mod, ive seen some negative reviews about it on this forum and just cant comprehend why at this point, cant wait to drive to work tomorrow! Thats rare!
FYI: I might post a video soon on the install seeing as how there really isnt a detailed sticky, though its easy it still doesnt hurt to speed up the install process for some.
