Drivetrain D1 Spec Throttle Boost REVIEW!!!!!!!! FINALLY!!!!
Ugggh. I hate harnesses on the street. You can't get to anything in your pockets and forget about reaching over to the glove box or back seat while at a stop light. FYI, if you're in a wreck and you get hurt, the Insurance company could withhold benefits due to removal of federally mandated safety equipment. Do I think it's dumb? Yes. But it can happen. We went through this on the GT3 boards with the additional of Sparco seats that don't have seat airbags.
I have size 9 feet with average width. I find it almost impossible to heel toe this car properly. The pedals are spaced very far apart.
BTW, if you need to heel/toe in snow/wet to keep the car stable on a down shift then you're going way too fast for the conditions my friend
I like to double clutch personally. It's even softer on the drive train than heel toe but is really really hard. I'm racing a vintage car now and it's more or less required to not burn the tranny up.

Back seat? What back seat

Actually the audio is 30 lbs and comes out as one unit when desired .
The bottle in the middle is the little used NOS system but the fuel cell to the right is meth .

Lost my D1 instructions
Hey everyone. I managed to loose the install instructions for my D1.
Is there a kind soul out there that can scan the install and configuration instructions and email them to me?
If so, PM me and I'll send you my email address.
Thanks

Try looking at Post #19 in the Forums section under 1st Generation Minis/Modifications/Drivetrain (Cooper S)/Throttle Controller Question. It has the instruction page as an attachment.
Nope, seems NAM reduces the size, here it is in a larger size, and here as well:

I would take a photo of what you received and get back with them ASAP so that you get what you ordered. That does not sound like them from what I have read.
I got my D1 Spec from AJ-racing a couple weeks ago. When I attempted to install it I realized that they sent me the wrong wiring harness. The stock harness has slots to accept the plastic tabs on the inside of the gas pedal. The harness they sent me doesn't have those slots so the tabs prevent the harness from being inserted all of the way. I emailed them about the problem and got a response initially but haven't heard anything from them in a week despite the emails I have sent to them. Has anyone else had this problem?
It should work the same on a stock ecu or one with an aftermarket tune.
Vodka, I have not done anything to my ECU and it is still fun to drive with it. There are very few times I drive that I don't mess with the D1 functions. It is very surprising what this thing does.
Has anyone found out where to get the D1 Spec Boosters yet? Every place I have called it out of stock on them, and I can't find them on ebay either. Did the company stop making them??

As I wrote some posts back, I have on my R50 and agree with the sentiment that you can get the same effect by moving your seat forward a notch or two; all it is is a signal amplifier. It does the same thing that pressing the gas pedal a little further would do (amplifies the current leaving the pedal). I remounted mine up under the dash out of sight and keep it set on S2 or S3 all the time. Any more and it changes the throttle characteristics for the worse.
No doubt some seem to have fun with them. Maybe you'll be one of those folks.
I have one I pulled off of my R53 a couple of weeks ago. I bought it from Greasy's last year, I think. I'm not sure that I still have the box. Let me know if you're interested.

Yeah I modified the pedal to make it work but it still doesn't function properly. Very strange.
I'm sure you guys did this, but in case not, install it again and make sure you follow the directions step by step and the OBDII plug is in completely and the throttle plug does not have bent prongs. If memory serves me right if you don't get one of the setup steps done correctly it will not work.
