Bumping a Cooper S to JCW HP?

I am thinking about buying a used Cooper S. What would I have to do to the Cooper S engine to bump it up to JCW horse power?

roughly:
this: http://www.waymotorworks.com/wmw-pulley-package.html ( or something similar ) and a tune should do it.

but Bigprfed22 is right: it wouldn't hurt to read a few of the old threads

Beating a JCW power level is pretty easy, and more affordable. Let us know if we can help you out.

Just a couple of things I would say

- 15% SC pulley
- colder iridium plugs
- exhaust system (maybe a custom with larger piping)
- cold air intake if you want

I believe the R53 JCWs are only about 10-15 HP more than the normal cooper S's.

15% pulley
380 cc injectors
colder NGK spark plugs
1-ball exhaust
Headers (Mynes has very good throttle response)
CAI or just K&N panel filter. I prefer foam type.
JCW Software flash from dealer or better if actual Tune (Mynes or RMW).
That's 1/3 price of factory installed JCW but with more power & torque.
