What kind of power gains (to the wheels) are we looking to see with the Alta AP on the CS Countryman All4?

Zero... because it doesn't work on the Countryman yet. Anything beyond that is just blind guesswork.

Thanks...

But the question was geared more towards Alta since they are possibly in the process of making an AP for the car.

I understand it doesn't work on the countryman yet, that's not what I was asking either. I have an AP for my Subaru STI, so I'm well aware how it works. Being that they have been around the Mini game for some time, I was hoping for a rough estimate.

And if there is no word.... then that sucks

no, that's expected.

you're asking about a different engine… in a different size/weight vehicle… that has AWD instead of the usual FWD…

any numbers provided at this stage would be like licking your finger to check the wind.

So licking my finger and checking the wind won't give me numbers?.....

Well, thanks, I'll just have to check back here and there then to see what's going on with the AP.

So per the compatibility note tab on the ALTA AccessPORT product page, the AccessPORT is now compatible with the 2011 Cooper JCW, but not the Cooper S or Clubman S?

Just wondering as I am a soon to be 2011 Cooper JCW n00b...car is on the boat right now. Thanks!

The 2011 JCWs have the same N14 engine as the 2010 (and earlier) JCWs and MCSs.
The 2011 MCSs have moved on to the new N18 engine, which the AP is not yet compatible with.

What Fishbert said! The JCW is exactly the same from 2008 to 2011.

Please remember the CM ALL4 drives the FWD 100% unless it feels slippage in the rear.

So the HP TQ values might be very similar for a baselined 1.6 Prince Engine.

MINI rates the N18 at 181HP and they are always a bit conservative.

When it does feel slippage, I'd assume the power to the wheels would change, or not?

Cliff notes of the AP thread:

"Can you guys do the 11's yet?"

"Can you make it pop and burble yet?"

......can't ya'll see someone from Alta answers those literally three times a week?

I think they'll let EVERYONE know when it's done...they're good at that!

We are still working on the 2011 cars, sorry for the delay!

Pop and burble not ready, sorry! If anyone has an idle issue, let me know. Compared to all of the AccessPORTs sold, it doesn't seem like many are having the problem. Jeff has made adjustments for the JCW maps that will be coming out in the next update.
