I am leaving sport on all the time. I still prefer it after the tune for both increased throttle response and the tightened steering.

Has anyone had issues uploading their original factory tune back to the MyGenius?? Mine is saying it is an invalid FPF file and it cannot read it?

 

I had the same issue, but if I remember right, when I disconnected from my computer, I was able to see the file on MyGenius. All I know is I did get it on MyGenius. Good luck

 

That's strange since it doesn't even let you attempt the upload once that error msg comes up. I'm wondering if the original tune is stored on the MyGenius. I didn't see it there when I first installed my mod'ed tune....anyone else know?

 

I thought the same thing and didn't see the original tune, however, when it came time to upload a tune it was there. When I had the invalid FPF file I tried to do it again and when I went to upload it, 2 copies of the tune were in there. In all I had the original and 2 copies of a mod tune.

I also made sure the parallel cable was not attached, just the USB only. Wished I could remember what I did, sorry

 

Thanks - You were right. It was on there already as the original. It lets you select original or modified. I'm not sure what happens when you add more modified versions. Maybe you just keep them on your laptop and upload which one you want and that becomes the modified version?

 

Good question....I sent my file to jan@revolutionmotorworks.com on the 7th.

 

He replies to either one. I sent my tune via RMW email and received mod tune via his *** email.

 

i got my canned tune back today but i cant put it in the car until tuesday afternoon. so i will report back then. i cant wait .

 

A friend of mine had his Mini tuned, he gave me the sheet to post for him. Since I would never tune my mini and ruin my warranty. He told me the red lines are base, the green are with the tune, and the blue was with his meth turned on.

He told me that Jan told him the highest numbers are coming from cars with stock intakes. So when he got home he took off his $350. carbon fiber intake and put his stock one back on (with the unifilter), and the car pulls even harder and feals faster. Some one needs to take their stock intake with them when they go see Jan and swap it on and off and see for real.

I know if I ever get my car done, thats what I am doing.

Jan, Any info on the statement about the stock airbox Vrs. CAI systems after the tune? I know there are many variations of both but what is your opinion?

Patience everyone, Jan is toiling away in his dimly lit windowless office as we speak. Some of our cars (like mine which has weird coding and isn't done yet) are a pita for him to tune and he's doing them all one by one.

 

If mine was in today's shipment of tools, ignore the PM, except for the address info.

 

hoping the other tools come out of customs today.... if so they will be in the mail. This batch of tools should fill the last orders. Sorry for the delay. It's been hectic traveling , wife having her thyroid out and trying to get all of these tunes done. There is a lengthy process involved between coding tools, shipping and then building the files after being uncoded. For those trying to PM me, my box is full and it takes longer for me to respond to pm's than emails.

Got my canned tune loaded in thanks to Jan. I haven't had time to properly test it out . I should have my buttdyno results in a few days. I'm going to have to take a late night comute and that should let me know what's up. Again thank you Jan for taking time to help me out today.
