OK....rather than going back through 50 pages of this.....I need the short answer to see if I have my facts straight......

I need the tool .......$415.00 then I pull my ecu map off and send it to Jan...?

then, I need the tune....300.00 ???

Can it be done without a dyno initially (trying to get a dyno done here in chattanooga, is not gonna happen...no one here has one....I've looked and looked....)?.....kinda limited as to what's available unless I travel....then it's a crap shoot if I can travel when Jan is anywhere near me.

Say for example I could get a copy of Marks tune.....? ;0)

Total cost: $715.00 ?

I download the tune from Jan's email, push it to the car and I'm tuned?

Jan pushes out updates for free?

I can drop back to my OEM tune at anytime, say for having service work done at the dealer?

Have I missed anything??

Thanks all

Products > R56. Total cost is $869...

You can get a canned tune now and dyno it later. I think updates are free, but I think retunes are like $50 or something from what I've read. ie: you get a dyno tune and come back later with more parts and get it retuned.

install process is downloading your tune from car to handheld unit, handheld unit to pc, email to Jan, get it back from Jan, upload to handheld unit, upload to car.

You can switch back to stock anytime, it takes about 2-3 minutes.

of course not to spam you again Jan as I spoke to you a little bit in the e-mail previously about this and updating files for the future.

Im sure everyone else has seen that the pop, burble etc would be able to be implemented sometime in the future once everything gets their first tune, but what sort of ETA may we be looking at? weeks? Months? ....centuries? :P haha.

Loving the tune, although I noticed lately it doesnt seem as quick as I was previously hitting ~18psi and now I am only hitting 14-15. Only thing that has changed is adding a catless DP and an O2 sensor spacer on the lower sensor, otherwise no changes. That and my MPG drops amazingly when Im idling.

This morning I did a cold start and my MPG went from 23.7mpg to 22.9 just idling to warm it up for about 3 minutes

start looking where you last modified the car............I'm sure you will find it there

I'll get to the burble as soon as possible
you will soon see what I have been working feverishly on

Hmm would going from the ALTA catted DP to a catless one make that big of a difference? Or possibly the O2 sensor spacer giving incorrect readings now haha.

Cant wait to see some updates come out of this soon! It'll definitely be worth the wait. Im especially excited to the burble mostly with the catless exhaust it should be pretty intimidating

Have you actually seen issues with catless downpipes and O2 codes? I have a catless downpipe myself and have often wondered if I wouldn't make more power going back to the stock downpipe, due to all the P0420 craziness.

the downpipes make power, but the problem is installation issues

just ask Orangecrush if you want to hear the horror stories and chasing gremlins

Hmmm do you think this would cause why I am not seeing as much boost as normal? What torque specs would you recommend to put this to Jan/any specific pattern I need to use on the three bolts? lol

Ok...I'm on order for the tool and a tune...hope to be joining you all eventually.

Just for any of you sitting on the fence...I had a number of questions and Jan was very prompt and complete in answering them for me by e-mail. Obviously very dedicated to his business and service.

Thanks Jan...look forward to doing further business with you in the future!

I got a receipt from PayPal that indicated that it went through...but I guess it doesn't hurt to ask the same question.
